Beautiful 7 bedroom, 7.5 bath home on the lagoon in private gated community of DeBordieu. Spacious home for family gatherings. Wonderful yard with lots of opportunities to recharge and relax. Home features 6 TV's, 1 VCR, DVD, wireless internet, outside shower, fish sink, screened and open porches, hammock, beach chairs, widows walk, living room, dining room, extra sitting room, fireplace, and wet bar. Filtered water in ice maker and bar sink.
Main floor has 2 bedrooms, 1st bedroom is the Master bedroom and has 1 king bed. 2nd bedroom has 2 doubles.

Beautiful setting amongst trees.
When an air-conditioning unit flipped out on a warm afternoon early in the week, Lachicotte Co. had a tech there within minutes to make the repair and insure a comfortable night's sleep.
The house is spacious and well-equipped. -

We had a wonderful time at Par LaMer for our vacation. The house is located at the southern end of the community right beside the nature preserve. There were many days we had the beach to ourselves with no one within 1/4 mile. Which was great because we had 6 kids ages 3-8 that loved their own "private" beach. They had beach toys and boogie boards all over the beach and we did not have to worry about bothering anyone else!!!
The only problem we had was the mosquitoes (which I know is to no fault of anyone but mother nature and I am certainly not going to question her!!) were terrible the week were there, but only very early in the am and after dark. This was only an inconvience for going to the pool for "night" swimming as the pools at the beach club are open until 10 PM. Great after dinner activity except for the very large population of mosquitoes. Small inconvience to an otherwise wonderful and very relaxing vacation. -

This was our fourth year to rent the Par la Mer house through Lachicotte Realty. The house is wonderful for a large family with children, with a bathroom for every bedroom. It is nicely furnished and decorated, yet extremely comfortable. The addition of a kid's dorm style room (so attractive) made things even nicer. With small kids, having only one bath tub in the house (master bedroom) is a small problem. We just shared that tub!!
The only drawback concerning location is that it is a fairly long walk to the beach. The well-maintained boardwalk and beauty of the walk make it palatable with children.
Overall there is no rental we have found that is better, with a large family, in this area. DeBordieu Beach is beautiful, and the whole beach community is so well maintained and enjoyable. The wildlife sightings make the week exciting for nature lovers. We loved watching the birds along the lagoon behind the house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ParLamer. The house exceeded our
expectations. It was plenty big enough for 14 of us. We never felt like we were
on each others heels. It is furnished beautifully. We liked the beach access that
was right across the street. DeBordeau is basically a giant nature preserve. My
husband and I rode our bikes all of the island and we saw deer, alligators,
bunnies, birds and more. We also rented two golf carts which was a fun way to
cruise around the island. It was an absolutely perfect vacation. We hope to go
back to ParLamer next time!
