The Nautilus is an informal beach retreat just steps to the ocean. This relaxing home has 5 bedrooms,4 baths and features architecture inspired by the sea's chambered nautilus. The house has 2 primary levels joined by 2 stairwell towers. The open design 1st level includes living room, fireplace, stereo, seating for 10 around the dining table and barstool seating for 5 at the long bar in the kitchen. The 2nd level boasts a centrally located playroom/den with sleeper couch, window seat/bed, 32 inch flat screen TV with cable and DVD player, 2 bedrooms. What a great demonstration kitchen. One of our favorite memories is watching our family and friends cook. It was great to be able to sit at one of the bar chairs and watch whatever was being prepared in the kitchen. Loved that we could go to the beach with our 6 year old and it was such a quick walk. Even better when we got back and could jump in the shower in the bathhouse to rinse off. Loved every minute of it and can not wait to do it agian!!!

Greensboro NCGood location but house not up to par

This home is not safe for toddlers due to the two somewhat open stair wells. Three upstairs bedrooms were served by one bath with no shower. Several loose planks on the main deck were dangerous for kids as well as adults. No bathroom for guests/renters on the main floor. Upstairs a/c inadequate.No TV in main living area-had to go upstairs to the second living area which was always hot. Partial walls in upstairs bedrooms and bath( done for a/c purposes) do not provide needed privacy for adults.
