Exceptional beach home, carefully designed and planned. Family-friendly home just steps from the beach and adjacent to a lovely park. Huge gourmet kitchen with wet bar, dining room and spacious great room with vaulted ceiling and fireplace. Half bath, pantry and large utility/laundry room located off of kitchen. Two master bedrooms with glass block showers and private balconies. Downstairs den is perfect for children and has a book/video library and foosball table. Very good accomodations and very convenient to the beach. The house is good for our family(my wife and me, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren). The children enjoy the park that is adjacent to the house. The DeBordieu experience is a great one for the family. We have not stayed anywhere that was a better venue for the family.

The home was tastefully decorated. Plenty of room for our large group. The second refrigerator was a god-send. The location and DeBordieu facilities are outstanding. The steps could be difficult for those with limited mobility--kitchen/dining is up two flights of stairs. The air conditioning failed but was promptly repaired. For such a high-end property, we were disappointed that the king-sized mattress pad and fitted sheet were too small for the mattress and, last but not least, one of the slats on the king-size bed collapsed on one side and left us fearing the mattress and box spring might fall to the floor.

This cottage is one of the most well equiped places I have ever stayed. Everything you could want was in the kitchen or pantry area. All bedrooms/mattresses were comfortable. My only complaint is that the hard wood floors were in dire need of a good scrubing. The provided gas grill was great. The views from the widow's walk at sunset were exceptional. The little park beside the cottage provided great evening entertainment as children from the neighborhood came to play ball. Great memories and a wonderful vacation.
