Catch a ride on the Freedom transit bus or be peddled around town on the new bicycle taxi service to see other sites including the National Park Service Museum and visit the Victorian Photography Studio to have a period photo taken to remember your trip to Gettysburg. My wife, teenaged son and I had the most perfect holiday in this beautiful town. We are from South Africa and this was our first trip to the US. Throughout our stay, we were so very impressed by the warm hospitality and helpfulness of owners Del and Tish, who were truly remarkable hosts. The apartment could not be more conveniently located and its ameneties and cleanliness were exceptional. We spent seventeen very comfortable and happy days and nights in this lovely apartment. If we ever have the pleasure of visiting Gettysburg again, we would stay at tis address without question.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was quiet, well equipped, very comfortable and in a perfect location. Del and Tish were wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating. The amenities were what we needed for our stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time in Gettysburg. Hopefully we can return and this apartment will be first on our list of places we want to stay.

The apartment was on the second floor of an old building. The steps were just a little inconvenient, narrow and steep, but since it was only my husband and me, this did not present a problem. If someone were traveling with kids or an elderly person the steps could present concerns. We found the apartment to be clean, spacious, comfortable and very convenient. The bed was so comfortable. There was a parking space designated for us in an enclosed garage. That was a huge plus. We arrived early and the apartment was ready for us. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The location was in town, conveniently located to restaurants. I would definitely stay in the apartment again.

Beautiful, historic, Civil War era flat in the heart of Gettysburg! We stayed in the second floor apartment during the first week of august. Del and Tish were friendly hosts. The apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet, and air conditioned. It was very nice to come back to an air conditioned apartment where we could relax after some very hot days travelling. From the apartment, you can drive to Philadelphia (2hrs) and to the Shady Grove Metro station (1.5hrs) to take the train to DC. We also headed up to Hershey Park on one day. Our boys, ages 13 and 15, loved having their own XL twin beds in a separate room. So much better than everyone falling over each other in a single hotel room. There is a full kitchen with all the pots and pans and dishes that you could need. We enjoyed cooking on the outside grill as well. Now, there is no elevator, but the stairs were not horrible and the plumbing fixtures are antique, but this just added to the charm! If you are travelling with older children or teenagers, I would highly recommend this apartment. We drove a Mercury Mountaineer and it fit into the 1 car garage with no problem.

My husband and I traveled to Gettysburg for a long weekend vacation and stayed at the apartment. Was very pleased with the accomodations, the overall cleanliness and the added feature of the garage. Most everything is within walking distance. Very nicely furnished. Del and Trish were great hosts. Thanks again.

After travelling over from the UK, with a long flight, this apartment was the perfect place to arrive at and feel relaxed!
It was spacious, clean, had everything you would need and the location is perfect! Downtown Gettysburg!
This is certainly an apartment I would recommend to others, and we have in fact arranged another stay here next year!
