This was our second trip to Holly Lodge and the property was just as welcoming as on our previous trip. Who knows we might even sign up for a third visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Holly Lodge. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. The views were stunning. The walks we had from the cottage were fairly easy after the initial climb up, but certainly worth the effort! I do have to say that the only down side was the entry on to the main road which we found dangerous.
A very nice cottage

We loved this cottage but found access onto the road dangerous and great care was needed. Beautiful surroundings and very well equiped. Found walking the dog straight from the cottage difficult as there was quite a climb before you reached some flat ground which may pose a problem for elderly.

A really excellent cottage very handy for the Three Peaks, Ingleton Falls, Trough of Bowland, and a whole host of other great walks. The cottage was very comfortable, well-equipped, snug and warm, with lovely views over to the moors and sheep grazing in the nearby fields. Handy for Settle and Giggleswick and the very friendly pub (with wifi) just down the road, with a good choice of meals. One of the best cottages I have stayed in. Friendly and welcoming owner. Although it poured down for most of our November week (while Cockermouth flooded) we still had a wonderful time, thanks to the warmth and comfort of our country cottage. The service from staff at Sykes Cottages was also outstanding - thank you for a really enjoyable holiday.

We came the long way from Germany and were absolutely happy with the house. It's well equipped with everything you need. The whole place is very beautiful and furnished in a great taste. The views out of the windows were marvellous. We had two wonderful rainy days on the sofa and enjoyed the countryside through the windows. It was also a good base to explore the area. It is the nicest house we ever had.
very relaxing setting, beautifully maintained

The cottage was lovely, we felt away from it all although we weren't that far from town. Although the owners were on site and available if needed, they were not intrusive.
Location was beautiful, although the photo above gives the impression of more land around it than there is.
Slightly better directions would have been helpful when finding then place.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Lodge, it is a
fantastic cottage very welcoming and homely, it has
everything you could possibly need during your stay.
The owner was lovely and after settling us in left us
to it, it had recently snowed a lot but this just
added to the fun! i would definitely recommend this
cottage and hope to return again sometime soon!
