This stone built house is in an elevated position near to Giggleswick on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. Willow Cottage is a stone built house in an elevated hillside position about one mile from the village of Giggleswick close to Settle, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With one double room, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep six people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a fireplace and a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage are a shared garden and a private patio with out...door furniture, as well as plenty of off road parking. With two other cottages on site, Willow Cottage can sleep sixteen people making it suitable for large family groups who want to explore this beautiful part of the country.

Amenities: Electric storage heaters with woodburning stove in sitting room (1 bag of fuel inc. in rent). Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, automatic washer/dryer, TV, DVD, CD player. Electricity inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Large garden (shared with property refs 398 & 993) and private patio with garden furniture. Ample off road parking. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Town: Situated below a limestone scar on the Craven fault, the delightful Ribblesdale village of Giggleswick is just across the river from the bustling market town of Settle. Packed with a host of 17th Century houses and cottages, the village is centred around the beautiful St Alkelda's church – a 12th Century construction – and the domed chapel of the famous Giggleswick School – a building which dominates the local skyline. The village of Giggleswick itself has a few small shops and pubs, though the nearby market town of Settle is within easy walking distance and offers a wide range of amenities. Ingleton is also close by and is home to an excellent walking circuit that takes in many of the area’s spectacular waterfalls. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Service was good, we received an extra chair when we asked for one.
  The cottage was cosy and well equiped, though a little poor on chairs (only very soft couches: killing for your back!)
  It was very clean!
  The location is fine, we loved the surroundings. Malham cove is very nearby and wellworth visiting.

  Nice cottage, comfortable bedrooms, but not enough plates, cutlery etc for 6 people.
  Only enough comfortable settees/chairs for 4 adults!
  We found some lovely walks that set off from the cottage

  We had a lovely holiday. The owners were quick to provide information, bar-b-q and other bits that helped our holiday.set in beautiful scenery with walks right on the doorstep.

  Relaxing surroundings, good views, comfortable accommodation.

  Cottage was homely and had good views across the valley. Dogs were welcome which was a plus point for us. Radiator in double bedroom didn't work and it was cold in the morning. Food and drink at the local pubs was good, they had a relaxed atmosphere and staff were friendly and welcoming. Fantastic walks starting just over the road.

  Lovely clean well-equipped cottage close to Giggleswick and Settle. Well furnished with everything you could need in the kitchen. Very useful sheltered portico to unload wet clothes. Friendly helpful owners and lots of good amenities and walking nearby. This is an excellent holiday base and my review has to be 99% positive. If I were pressed for the other 1% I'd mention that the private drive is a fairly short run from a busy main road and while the cottage is nice and quite, I'd be worried about leaving small children outside unsupervised. All in all though, one of the best.
