Zum abschluss unserer Rundreise durch Malaysia und Indonesien (und nach dem anstrengenden aufstieg zum Rinjani) suchten wir nach einer schönen Unterkunft um die letzte Woche unseres Urlaubs schön auszuspannen.
Besser als in der Villa Sanyang hätten wir es nicht treffen können. Wir waren im Gästehaus neben der eigentlichen Villa untergebracht und hatten die beste Zeit unseres Urlaubs. Wir kamen einen Tag früher (was gar kein Problem war) und haben unseren gesamten aufenthalt genossen. Silvia und Saleh sind supernett und stehen jedem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite (Wo kann man am besten Essen, etc.)
Die Unterkunft befindet sich etwas im "Landesinneren", also ca. 2 Minuten Fußmarsch vom Strand entfernt. Dafür ist man direkt an dem Strand, an den alle anderen umständlich mit Booten gekarrt werden, um die Schildkröten zu sehen. Einfach bei Flut ins Wasser gehen, treiben lassen und Schildkröten und alle anderen Fische genießen.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, das "Personal" super nett (haben oft selbstgebackene Köstlichkeiten bekommen) und Silvia und Saleh einfach perfekt. Das Bett hat ein Moskitonetz, so dass man perfekt geschützt ist. Die Dusche ist Salzwasser, aber hey, man geht ja bewusst ans Ende der Welt um auszuspannen.
Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen, diese Unterkunft zu buchen. Ich und meine Partnerin (beide ca. 25) waren begeistert. -

We cannot say enough good things about Villa Sayang and Gili Meno. The island is a dreamy, magical, peaceful place. And Sylvia and Saleh are wonderful hosts. Villa Sayang is simple but thoughtful and has everything you need for a great holiday.
Saleh got us snorkels and masks, he changed money for us, he booked boat tickets for us, he found pizza for the kids our first night, he and Sylvia stepped in to provide last-minute childcare so we could go diving when our plan fell through. They were unobtrusive but super helpful.
To make the villa perfect, I'd do a few things like beef up the kitchen utensils, stock a few basics in the fridge, provide beach towels, bigger fans in the bedrooms, and hang a hammock underneath a shady tree.
But bring your towels, and maybe your own string hammock, and throw some emergency provisions in your suitcase, and you're set.
A warning to light sleepers, the villa is very close to the island mosque and the morning call to prayer is long, loud and starts at 4 am. It's followed closely by the island roosters.
The beach is a 5 minute walk - it would be nice to be able to see and hear it from the cottage, but there's also something lovely about Villa Sayang's sense of being tucked away in a garden, very private and peaceful.
We spent all day on the beach - sometimes we wandered around the island (and everyone we passed said a cheery hello and welcomed us) - and most days we just lay in the shade of a lapa eating amazing Sasak food, sipping a fresh pineapple and coconut shake, and snorkelling out to drift in the currents with the sea turtles. The beach patch at the end of the path from Villa Sayang has the best reef on the island about 20 m straight out.
In our week we checked out all the other accommodation options and can say with confidence that Villa Sayang is the best of them - and amazing value. -

Wir sind mit einer Gruppe von drei Personen in der liebevoll und gepflegten Oase mitten auf Gili Meno untergekommen. Das anwesen ist weitläufig und sehr gepflegt. Ideal um hier zur Ruhe zu finden. Die beiden Eigentümer Sylvia und Saleh wohnen ebenfalls auf dem Grundstück. Die beiden haben uns wärmstens empfangen und standen bei Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.
Zu erwähnen ist auch die Nähe zum Strand, an dem man wunderbar Schnorcheln kann. Dieser ist nach einem kleinen Spaziergang durch die Natur in 2-3 Minuten erreicht.
Wir haben die drei Tage in dieser Unterkunft sehr genossen. -

Ich habe eine wunderschöne Woche in dem hellen großzügigen Bungalow bei Silvia und Saleh verbracht inmitten eines kleinen Paradiesgartens. Die Gastfreundschaft und Wärme von den beiden ist einfach umwerfend. Sie stehen einem jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung in einer sensiblen Mischung aus Unterstützung und Zurückhaltung! Selbst in schwierigen Situationen ( das angesagte Boot fuhr nicht wegen des Wetters) agieren die beiden so, als ob dich ein guter Freund an der Hand nimmt! Unvergesslich - Saleh hat mich einfach bis Lombock begleitet, um alles für mich zu regeln! Also auch für alleinreisende ein wunderbares Gefühl von zu Hause in der Fremde!

Eine traumhaft schöne Untertkunft, der tropische Garten, und sogar (es war Regenzeit) die
Regenschirme von Silvia sind ein augenschmaus. Bei ankunft ein hausgemachter
Mangokuchen vom Blech, das hat wirklich alle Erwartungen ĂĽbertroffen.
Wer möchte kann für sich bleiben und in der kleinen gut ausgestatteten Küche seine
Getränke aufbewahren und seinen Kaffe kochen.
Viel kann man auf der kleinen Gili Meno sowieso nicht unternehmen, da kann man seine
Zeit gut vor der Villa verbringen und vergehen lassen.
Tausend Dank, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

In der urgemütlichen Villa Sayang, zum Großteil aus alten, anderweitig abgebauten Hölzern liebevoll gestaltet, genießt man die Stunden nach einem unvergleichlichen Strandtag auf der traumhaft schönen kleinen Insel vor Lombok, Gili Meno, einfach mit einem Buch oder einem Gläschen zum Sonnenuntergang, aber auch gemeinsam mit den Gastgebern Silvia und Saleh bei einem gemütlichen Plausch oder am Lagerfeuer beim Grillen frischer Fische.
Morgens früh gegen 6 Uhr kurz vor Sonnenaufgang lohnt es sich aufzustehen und mit Walkingstöcken - gibt’s bei Saleh und Silvia – in einer guten Stunde um die Insel zu walken, den Fischern zuzusehen, wie sie früh morgens ihre Fänge an Land bringen, den Hühnern „selamat pagi“ (guten Morgen) zu sagen und mitzuerleben, wie das Leben auf der kleinen Insel erwacht – ein Erlebnis, das man nie vergisst!
Nach einem guten Frühstück in der Villa Sayang geht’s an den Strand – zum Relaxen im Sand, Schwimmen im türkisblauen Meer, Schnorcheln, Essen frischer ananas…
Und sollte die Villa Sayang besetzt sein und auch der benachbarte Bungalow Gäste beherbergen, bietet sich die im letzten Jahr neu erbaute Villa Sunset für einen unvergesslichen aufenthalt auf Gili Meno bei Saleh und Silvia an!
Schon viele Male waren wir dort und kommen sicher bald wieder! -

Looking for a place to stay for some time I found the villa Sayang and the hosts Silvia and Saleh on Gili Meno. The villa is part of a spacious peaceful tropical garden and offers a private sphere because of the broad-mindedness. All rooms are well decorated and have european function and hygienc standards. The hosts will give any support around the vacation on the island or the stay in Indonesia. Villa Sayang is recommendable for all travelers searching a locality to relax without missing a higher convenience.
I came to friendly hosts and leaved friends.
