A 3 bedroom family house set in a large garden amongst the coconut trees just a few minutes from the beaches and restaurants. The open plan living area has a full kitchen, large dining table for 10 and a sitting room with sat tv, DVD, i-pod dock and wi-fi. The living area overlooks a large deck with bbq and outdoor dining area shaded by a large tree, the bedrooms are either side and the house is shaped around the large garden. The main bedroom is on the left with a king size double and two bedroom with an adjoining door are on the right. One is a king size double and the other has twin beds, a cot is also available. The house is located a few minutes inland from the beaches and main restaurants on Gili Trawangan. There is no motorised transport on the island, it is about 7 Km around and everywhere is close using the bikes provided. The island is famous for its diving and snorkelling but there is plenty of other things to do as well as relax by the pool. Surf, stand up paddle, kayak, yoga, tennis, horse riding and golf on Lombok.

We loved our recent holiday to Gili Trawangan and this had a lot to do with this great house.. It is perhaps better than described and this ticked all the boxes for us. The one negative thing about this review is I know it will be probably be impossible to book when we want to return and I perhaps should try and keep this little gem to myself..
Broadly speaking its got 3 bedrooms with one interconnecting room - each room with its own shower and toilet so can suit most family configurations very well. Its also got a great communal space with kitchen and living room combined... Unfortunately for us this space got pretty hot during the day and even at night was a few degrees hotter than outside which made the few nights that we did spend in for "movie nights" a little sweaty but still very bearable.
Its a proper home so has everything that you would need for a great holiday and I think is often lived in by the owner so the property is well maintained and looked after.
Its no more than a 15 min stroll from town and about 5 mins maximum on one of the bikes that were around the house when we turned up..
The garden is a fantastic space but full of coconut trees with rather ripe coconuts threatening to fall out so was placed out of bounds by mummy - A more imagined risk then actual I suppose but we live in a city where don't know about these things :)... Anwar the house gardener and generally all round good guy did however climb up the trees and harvest a few for lunch one day..
Theres a perfectly sized pool which is shared between 3 villas but we failed to bump into anyone else in it all week!
One thing to recommend to others is to perhaps bring a stock of food if you like to self cater... the choices for buying food on the island are necessarily limited by demand which is of course small for the things you may consider "essential".. We took a bag full of snacks and bits and pieces which was a great help for lunches and casual snacks..
Saying that there are so many nice restaurants on the islands that you will struggle to motivate yourself to cook!
Booking and all the logistics were easily and quickly sorted with loads of useful info forthcoming from Helen, who also managed to sort the transfer from Bali and the diving i wanted to get done in 3 straightforward emails..

Really recommend this great house on Gili T. Really lovely modern house, with impecable furnishings. Relaxed layout and great garden for the children to play in while we relaxed on the patio overlooking the garden. Fully furnished house with everything you need. Rental was easy to arrange and house just was great. We went with another family and the layout was perfect for this. Would totally recommend this place to anyone looking to escape the hussle and noise of the main street and area of Gili T, for a relaxing holiday where you have all the comforts of home there for you, quite serenity in a stunning house.
