Welcome to Girdwood and Forest Edge Nightly. We have a comfortable quiet place to rest your head after a long day of adventure in the last frontier!
A 1 bed room Apartment on the first floor of our home. Your own private entry. A large bedroom with a King size Serta Memory foam bed and down comforter.
A large kitchen with gas stove, fridge and dishwasher. Dinning area.
Living room with a Queen(plus) size pull out sofa bed made with Tempurpdic mattress.
A 46" flat screen TV with cable and DVD/blue ray player. kitchen/living/dinning area have 16' ceilings for a spacious feel.
Wifi available.

We are located on the edge of the forest. Virgin creek falls is a short hike from your front door and you can her them throughout the summer.
It is very quiet up here and you have many chances of seeing the local wild life.
We are only a couple of minutes from Alyeska Ski resort.
Historic Crow creek mine is a 10/15 drive away.
Whittier is 30 minute drive south.
Seward is about an 11/2 hour drive to the south.
Homer is about a 31/2 hour drive from here.
There are cruises, fishing, hiking, river rafting, flight seeing and many other activities near by!

Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in December 2012
With 3 teenager in tow we set off to Girdwood for a couple of days of R&R.; We entered to a wonderful surprise of fresh baked bread to start with. Not only did it smell wonderful but it tasted great too. The layout of the apartment was a great surprise and it gave each of us plenty of room to spreadout and allowed for the periodic moodiness of teenagers to be supressed in a separate, very large bedroom. The kitchen was spacious and more than adequately equiped so I could prepare frequent meals for thier bottomless stomach pits. The beds, even the pull out, were exceptionally comfortable. Jody and Shane were wonderful hosts and never once complained about the noise that I'm sure these kids were making. I am excited to return, this time brining only the dog since pets are welcome too!
