This large and open executive home is located 2 blocks from the base of Alyeska, and 45 minutes south of Anchorage along the scenic Seward highway. Girdwood Suite Retreat is the perfect Girdwood vacation rental for your family or group. The house features four bedrooms, a loft area, hot tub, grill, large deck area and a stand-alone cabin, making a total of 3.5 baths and 8 sleeping areas that accommodate up to 16 people comfortably.

The Girdwood Suite Retreat has some very unique and special features to make it an ideal Girdwood vacation rental:

The house is located on 0.6 acres surrounded by old growth forest and is one of the la...rgest parcels of land close to the base of the resort.

The home was constructed in 2001 by EECC, one of the top custom home builders in Alaska. It is a 3000 square foot house designed to be open and comfortable.

It has one of the largest private outdoor decks in Girdwood with a covered six person hot tub with a view of the Alyeska tram and the ski resort.

The features of the house include:

Downstairs you will find the Bridal Suite (Master bedroom), which includes a queen size bed, flat screen tv (cable), a separate walk-in bathroom with garden tub, full size shower, double sinks and walk-in closets.

The house also features a separate formal dining area, seating 8 people, a large spacious family room, an ultra modern kitchen with granite counter-tops, maple cabinets and stainless steel appliances.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, a full bath with tub that is equipped with handicap railing. The stairway is extra wide.

In the upstairs area you will find the Alaska, Glacier, and Daisy suites.

The Glacier Suite offers an office setup complete with fax machine, copier, and high speed wireless Internet. This bedroom has a queen size bed with a bonus room that has a queen size scan futon.

The Alaska Suite has a queen size scan futon and is decorated with vintage Alaskan Railroad art.

Both the Alaska and Glacier Suites can be made into a separate suite for privacy.

The Daisy Suite offers a King size trundle bed that can be separated into two single beds.

The upstairs bathroom is equipped with safety grab bars. There is also a large loft with a queen size scan futon and recreation activities for children.

The separate cabin (available for groups of 11 or more), has two lofts with queen size beds, full bath with shower, fully equipped kitchen and a comfy queen size click-clack bed for additional sleeping. The cabin sleeps up to 6. The cabin is attached to the main deck for easy access to the hot tub and the main house.

In addition there is a mud room with a half bath and front loading washer and dryer in the main house.

Going out the back kitchen door you will find one of the most private, largest decks in Girdwood.

A walkway leads to 30' x 30' deck where with a covered area, 8 person hot tub and barbeque area. The deck is surrounded by trees and completely private.

In front, there is a two car garage and parking for four vehicles in the driveway.

Additional charges apply during holidays or for more than 12 people. The Girdwood Suite Retreat, located directly across from the Girdwood Chapel, is an ideal staging point for a bridal or groom party or when having a larger wedding at the Hotel Alyeska or other Girdwood location. Inquire about small wedding packages, which would include catering, flowers, photography, and music services. There is a additional charge for hosting a party or wedding reception at the Girdwood Suite Retreat. The Girdwood Suite Retreat is highly recommended for a ladies retreat or small corporate gatherings.

50% deposit to confirm reservation. $75 cleaning fee for house rental and $100 for rental of house and cabin. Check-in 4:00PM, check-out 11:00AM. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellations less than 30 days will be refunded ONLY if unit is re-booked. $500 credit card pre-authorization damage deposit. There is a 12% Anchorage Borough Bed Tax

  Lovely place to escape & relax. Large home, yet charmingly cozy & comfortable with all the amenities including a fireplace. Tastefully decorated with a wonderfully eclectic collection of art. Spectacular scenery, close to aleyska, walking/hiking treks & great dining options. Fully equipped, self catering kitchen with upgraded appliances, including wine cooler. Great views from the secluded,large hot tub on the deck with the firepit nearby. The two car, attached garage in the alaskan winters is a definite plus!
  I had the good fortune to visit Girdwood on numerous occasions since my first visit 10/10 & Girdwood Suite Retreat is always my choice for accomodations. Truly a sweet retreat!
