Enjoy the peace and quiet of this 2 bedroom cottage that offers a great combination of privacy and ease to both town and the beach! Nestled in a delightful wooded setting alongside a slowly meandering creek, this cottage is the perfect opportunity for you (and your dog!) to get reacquainted with nature.
Great for both couples and small groups of friends or families, both rooms have a Queen bed and charming cottage décor, while the Master bedroom has an attached bathroom. For extra sleeping, there is a Queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room (perfect for falling asleep to the sound of crackling wood from the Fireplace!)
The ope...n living area is ideal for gathering: the dining area, living area and updated kitchen all mingle together with a nice Flat Screen TV & DVD above the fireplace as a focal point. Dine indoors at the dining table for 6 or outdoors in the Screen Porch with seating for 6 while you listen to sounds of nature!
When you are ready for some sun and waves, you are only a 5-7 minute walk to the beautiful Lake Michigan association beach, which is accessed by a gated road entrance so not only can you walk to the beach, but you can drive right down to it as well! Wrap up your day around the fire pit tucked away under the trees for some dynamite s'mores and spooky stories!
This property has high speed internet access.
Combine with Edgewater Beach Cottage or Lakeside Cottage for larger groups!

Creekside is a lovely, comfortable home in a beautiful woodsy setting. It should be mentioned that it is nearly 10 miles from Saugatuck -- a bit of a haul if your plan is to hit the art galleries and restaurants in town. But if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway this is perfect. Fall is a great time to visit because the changing leaves are so pretty (and make nice crunching sounds under your feet). My teenage daughters actually put their phones and i-pads aside to go for walks in the woods. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit when it got dark, toasting s'mores and talking late into the night. We've now been here twice and I am sure we will return.

Loved the accommodations--open floor plan with updated and complete kitchen, fire pit for smores, updated grill and equipment, screened-in porch for "dining out", great internet connection for answering emails and loved the Netflex for late night entertainment. Two bedrooms and two baths were perfect for my family and our beagle loved lying in the large grass area in the front of the house. The house feels secluded being surrounded by woods but there is an easy walk to the beach down a private road in the subdivision that allowed us to take our older dog to the beach for walks and watching the sunset. Easy drive to Saugatuck, South Haven, Holland, and nearby wineries. Loved every minute of our 7 nights.

Lakeshore's website made it super simple to find what was available for the time slot we had. That was the first of many blessings. Check in was super easy, the drive to Creekside a little longer than suggested but so delightful it didn't really matter. Creekside is ideal for a quiet, perfect still weekend! Just what we wanted!! The pizza in the church building in South Haven was totally worth the drive!! We are still talking about it!! Read more
Great review--thanks so much! We love doing everything we can to make it easy on you--glad you found our website and check-in process helpful. The pizza in the church building is definitely worth the trip--glad you made it down there to try it! So when are you going to be back? :)

We were looking for a secluded private home close to the beach and golf and we found it at Creekside. A beautiful, clean, updated home with trees and nature all around! We even saw three deer cross through our backyard while having breakfast one morning on the screen porch! The brand new fire pit was a hit when our children came for a few days. The lake was rocky at this location, and the association beach was a bit of a hike - better by car when you're carrying items. Read more
Thanks for taking the time to share this review! I'm glad you enjoyed the beautiful outdoors at this home--and how fun to see some deer walk by. The new fire pit is definitely a great addition and the path right to the water is a bonus as well. Have you made plans for 2013 yet? We'd love to have you back!

Creekside is a great little house for a weekend getaway. We love the association beach and beautiful, wooded setting. The home is wonderful for our family of four. We enjoy the fireplace on cold evenings and the cozy feel of the home. I would recommend this home for small families or two couples. Read more
