Stevensville, MichiganIt doesn't get any better than this!!
Left on 03/08/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Every year I plan a ski trip with a group of my 50+ year old guy friends. Since we don't sleep in the same beds, I needed to find a large place that would accommodate 8 guys.
With 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 6000 square foot of living space, the Sunshine Ridge Guest House far exceeded any place we have ever stayed at. Not only was it beautiful and spacious, it had a huge kitchen with high end appliances and plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. Also a Weber gas grill, pool table, music sound system and several TVs...it doesn't get any better than that!
They also have a "caretaker" (Jim) who greets you when you arrive, tours the facility with you and is available for any questions or concerns during your stay.
The Srgh is also located just 5 minutes from Sunlight Mountain; a "locals" ski resort with terrific skiing, low prices and great hospitality.
We'll be back!!! -

JohnstownNo better place to stay!

We come to Glenwood with our extended family twice a year, and this is our favorite place to stay. The rooms are nice, and there is so much open living space we can all hang out and not feel crammed.
We love that the entire family can cook and eat together! Moreover, the morning cup of coffee on the deck or by the fireplace is one of my favorite times during our weekend stays.
Both the owners and property managers are always friendly and helpful. They have all the minor details covered--even a booster seat and pack 'n play. In almost 10 visits to this house, I have never had one complaint. -

This Guest House is amazing, the bedrooms are all nice and the bathrooms are great with huge showers and tubs. The whole house is clean and kept up nicely. The kitchen is large with great appliances and everything you need to make a great meal. The kitchen dining area has two large tables so there is room for a large group. Our Family feels so comfortable and have stayed at the Guest house for the past several years. If you are planning a ski or swim trip to Glenwood area stay here it is so relaxing and the views are incredible.

Sunshine Ridge Guest House works perfectly as a weekend retreat site for a group of 17 participants. The accommodations are quite spacious and offer sleeping options of all types for guests. The kitchen is generously stocked with dishes, flatware, glassware, utensils, and pots & pans of all types. The hillside setting is so scenic, it may lower productivity for those who are there to accomplish specified goals by the end of the weekend. Actually, the scenic view must have energized our group because, in the end, there was an extremely high level of goal completion. Both the owners and the caretakers were consistently helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Hoping to return for another event!

Laramie, WYAbsolutely beautiful!
Left on 02/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We are a Collegiate Nordic Ski Team and we have now stayed at the Sunshine Ridge Guest House twice and we always try to reserve the house when we are there for our races.
It is absolutely beautiful and extremely good sized for a large group. The kitchen is well stocked and has the best pots and utensils of any vacation rental we've rented.
We routinely stay in vacation rentals and this is one of the best!
There is plenty of space and great entertainment, pool, ping pong, air hockey, Tv's etc.
One of the best things for us is the huge garage where we can wax our skis for the races.
It's a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it! -

The accommodations exceeded our expectations for comfort, roominess, amenities, Western decor, easy access to nordic and alpine skiing, hot springs, restaurants, entertainment at home, solitude, spacious valley views and plain old family fun!
Sunlight Ski area is a hidden gem with a down home family feel and without the glitz and lines of Vail and aspen! -

Lafayette, COThe Perfect Getaway
Left on 01/26/2011 for a stay in January 2011
I recently stayed at the house with family for a long weekend. The house is just down the road from Sunlight Mountain, so it only took 5 minutes from the house to the slopes. It sleep 16, so there is always plenty of room, the fireplace is wonderful to curl up next to at night, the furniture is comfy compliments the house well, there are lots of games including a pool table downstairs, and the kitchen is large enough to have several cooks if you don't feel like heading into town for food. Simply put, this felt like the perfect getaway location no matter what mood we were in.

We're coming back! A week with friends at the Sunshine Ridge Guest House convinced us that a return trip is a must. This beautiful, comfortable, spacious log home is superb in every aspect ... combining spaciousness with a warm, homey, and cozy atmosphere. Everything you could possibly want or need is there at your disposal. We enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen area; and this large, open space kitchen was most impressive. Having the two dining areas too, is great for large groups. The setting of the guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous. The 40 acre property, is situation on the slope of a mountain, with a spectacular view of the valley below. Relaxing on the wrap-around deck, and enjoying the view is a must. Its location is remote and beautiful, but is within easy access to so many places of interest, and things to see and do. The recreational activities in every season of the year are "endless.†We found nearby Glenwood Springs to be a very convenient and wonderful western town, rich in history, and having many fine restaurants, shops, and conveniences. We all agree that the week went by much too fast ... so much more to see and do. So, we'll be back.
