This completely renovated one-bedroom ground-level weekly vacation rental is just right for a couple, or a small family. It's done in black and white, with vibrant accents. Enjoy ocean views while sitting on your own deck.
The bedroom holds a full-size bed, and the living room sleeps one adult or 2 small children on a sectional sofa that converts to a surprisingly comfortable sleep surface. The dining area in the living room has a glass table with 4 chairs. The bright kitchen also has an ocean view and is fully equipped with new appliances.

A home away from home close to lots of fun things to do!
I just have to leave a review after the wonderful vacation I just had staying at Lanes Cove House in the apartment.
First, when we arrived anna greeted us warmly and showed me around the apartment and let me know how various things worked and where everything was located. Then, being able to park right outside our door was a wonderful convenience for unloading our things.
Once unloaded we walked out on the deck and were awestruck by the beautiful sunset, which remained just as beautiful on our last day as it was on our first.
This apartment is located in close proximity to all sorts of things you might want to do while in Gloucester. Even before we arrived anna emailed us with information on a River Cruise, it was wonderful! The beautiful photographs I was able to get...it's going to be hard this year to figure out which photos I want to frame!
All the amenities provided made this apartment feel like a home away from home. We went fishing one day while there, and were able to come back and cook what we caught while enjoying our ocean view.
The convenience of a washer and dryer made it possible for me to return home without having "trip laundry” to do.
I have nothing but good things to say about this wonderful treasure of an apartment, we plan on returning again and again! Thank you anna!

Revealed how nice B&Bs; are
I have had only one experience with a B&B; and it was pretty bad then I came to Lanes Cove B&B; and discovered how wonderful an experience it can be. Anna welcomed us very warmly,showed us all the workings and our wonderful room and warmed up some home made cookies for us. What a welcome. The room in the 100 year old house was welcoming and quiet. It provided all a traveler would need. The breakfast was presented in a beautiful dining room and very healthy. And what can be said of the home made scones by anna. I wish I could have taken some for the trip home. This trip has changed my mind about B&B; and if I am ever in this area again, I would guarantee Lanes Cove House would be where I would rest my head.

Delightful place to stay near Gloucester
Anna was a very friendly innkeeper who provides a variety of scones for breakfast, which can be eaten on the porch overlooking Lanes Cove (very pleasant way to start the day). The sunsets are great too. Being away from the center of Gloucester involved some driving, but was also an advantage. The room was fine and very clean.

Great Apartment
The apartment was perfect for the two of us. It's small, but attractively designed and decorated. Everything and more that we needed was provided. The house itself is beautiful and the gardens are charming with a water view. Anna is a wonderful host and a great resource. I'd love to stay here again.

Lanes Cove Experience
My family and I stayed for one week at Lanes Cove. We were the second guests to stay in Anna's (the owner) newly converted basement. These acomodations were spotless and very nicely decorated. We were very impressed by all the thoughtful little details in the apartment - everything we needed was provided. We also really enjoyed the deck with a view, and the barbeque!
The location was fabulous for all sorts of sightseeing, especially if you like the outdoors. Cape Anne is wonderful with some spectacular beaches and coastal areas. There are two beaches that you can walk to from Lanes Cove...a small hidden beach in the harbour directly behind the B&B, and a larger beach down the road. Both beaches are free, and perfect for children.
Anna made us very welcome at her home. She was friendly, and happy to answer any questions we had. This was a great vacation. We will certainly return one day!
