Very pleasant experience
The accomodations were excellent and anna was most gracious. I travelled wirh my daughter and granddaughters and they stayed only part of the time. The rest of the time I spent visiting friends in nearby towns. This worked well for me.

Perfect home away from home!
We travelled from Montreal to Gloucester at the end of the summer of 2009. We were thrilled when we entered the carriage house. It had everything that we could hope for an more. The house is spacious and immaculate. We did not have to bring beach towels or chairs, everything was there. Lovely backyard with a grill, complete kitchen (we even found some parchement paper!!) Anna is a wonderful host, available when you need her yet extremely discreet you can't tell she is right next door. We highly recommend this accomodation. Thank you Anna!

A Wonderful Vacation Home!
We loved our stay near the seaside in Gloucester at this lovely home. My husband, mother, one-year-old, and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It is a very well appointed house, with a little deck with a swing chair, and grassy outdoor area it shares with the bed and breakfast. Beautiful throws, couch, bar stools, large dining table, and wonderful touches everywhere.
The clean air was fabulous and our Halloween vacation was made complete by the lovely fall leaves outside. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood coves. The upstairs king size bed had adjustable firmness, and was eloquently bedecked by comforters. Lovely plants and furniture. Great jetted whirlpool bathtub. Romantic!
The kitchen had every utensil imaginable, pretty plates and cups, toaster, blender, great quality pots and pans. The owner Anna was very friendly and helpful and gave us our privacy.
The location is a bit tricky and I recommend arriving in daylight. You will enter Gloucester, then Rockport then Gloucester again before you reach Anna's place. The traffic was fine from there to the museums in Boston and our family in Peabody and we didn't mind the beautiful drives at all.
Gorgeous windows on all floors that overlook trees and blue sky. A gorgeous writing desk in the bedroom upstairs, wireless internet and a TV on each floor as well.
My mom stayed on the comfy pull-out couch in the living room, because it was damp in the basement bedroom, although this is typical of the region. A giant flat screen TV entertained her there as did a nice enclosed gas fireplace in the living room.
If aesthetics are important to you, as is a well appointed, well-lit, pretty, comfortable and clean environment this place is for you. If you adore Salem and seaside New England and want to see Louisa May Alcott's home, Nathaniel Hawthorne's abode, House of the Seven Gables, Thoreau's cabin and Walden pond, the Hammond castle, Salem and Rockport's Bear Skin Neck this vacation home is for you!

Wonderful!
Our family of five had a wonderful stay at the Carriage House. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Anna is the most gracious host. Our three boys (15, 13 and 11) loved the beaches, restaurants, historic sites, whale watching and especially our ferry trip to Boston. We could not have had a better time! Thanks!!!

Escape to peace, quite, and total relaxation
If you want a home away from home surrounded by ocean, beach, and wonderful people; this is for you. Everything, including the Internet technology and entertainment systems are very cutting edge. -Had that brand "new home" feel; and we were made to feel at home from the first phone call ... they had us at, "Hello." - Dean & Natalie.
