Relaxing, peaceful, nature haven! 1 acre, at the end of the road with sandy beach and water on one side and protected forest lands on the other. Enjoy kayaking, jet-skiing, fishing right off the house, play on the beach, or bike or stroll up the quiet wooded lanes. Lots of local wildlife all around.
10 minutes away is historic Gloucester with a Courthouse dating back to 1766, wide variety of restaurants, jazz festivals, a museum and galleries displaying the works of local artisans.
Only 25-30 minutes away are the Colonial National Historic Parks of Williamsburg and Yorktown.
The local area offers many activities including horse-riding, kayaking, mountain-biking, golf and even an aquarium at the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences (we can provide links and directions to all!). Just 5 minutes from the house, the Ware River Yacht Club offers tennis, kayaking and sailing camps for kids and holds an annual regatta. Water Country water park is only 30 minutes from the house and Busch Gardens theme park 40 minutes away.

My whole family had the most wonderful, relaxing vacation. We kayaked early in the morning and enjoyed the beach with the grandbabies. The sunsets and sunrises where just lovely! I can't wait to return next year!

Coming up to this house, I didnt know what to expect. When we pulled into the parking lot, the house, lot, water, background were all amazingly beautiful. We had no idea the house was going to be so big but quaint at the same time. All the amenities worked perfect. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for many people. The views of the water were spectacular from the multiple decks and hot tube. Also plenty of space for outside activites for kids and adults. Proved to be a very quiet area that made for a great, relaxing vaction. Would reccomend this house to anyone! Thanks for the great stay!

Absolutely stunning house surrounded by towering pines and windswept coastline. Extremely private, property has a real "wild beachfront" feel to it. You forget you're in Virginia...more Pacific Northwest or New England coast.
Owners and property managers are absolutely top notch. Super responsive, extremely friendly and just an absolute pleasure to work with. And their attention to detail within the house is evident everywhere. It is beautifully maintained, with a huge eat in kitchen and fabulous master bedroom suite. And hottub overlooking the water and cozy fireplace are added bonuses. Extremely romantic and the perfect winter getaway to ring in the new year. Can only get better in the summer! Will definitely be coming back again!! -

This rental is comfortable and relaxing. And Gloucester is a small town filled with friendly people who appear proud to share their beautiful corner of the world with visitors. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an enjoyable time at the beach!
