The house is a beautiful mountain home with luxury finishes. The furniture is comfortable and you can really relax after skiing all day. The hot tub is in a splendid setting and is very peaceful.
We were 2 families with three children. The bunk beds were a little high for our liking but our ten year old loved it. There is only one master bedroom. We would have preferred 2 bedrooms with ensuites but that is a minor inconvenience given our overall love of the house. There are sufficient bathrooms and showers that no one is waiting for a shower or the bathroom. There are plenty of towels and extra niceties like shower gel, laundry detergent and tissues, flip flops and towels for the hot tub.
We really appreciated the owner's amazing service. He refunded our security deposit even before we had unpacked (within 24 hours). He found us a fabulous babysitter, gave us restaurant recommendations and even tried to find us a cook (which we did not pursue in the end).
The ski-in at the end of the day was wonderful. Just a tip though - the easiest run back to the house (from the top of the Catamount chair) requires an easy traverse but then a ski down the bottom part of the blue run which may be challenging for beginner skiers. The ski-out is easy but may require a short walk downhill if there is not sufficient snow on the road. Overall though, this place is in the best position for a house at the base of the mountain.
The terrain at KH is really wonderful. There is a great beginner's area, excellent blue and black runs and great bowls with challenging runs. Intermediate skiers may find it challenging to step up to the next level at KH as some of the blues and blacks are steep.
We dined at Eagle Eye and Cedar House restaurants and thought the food and service was fabulous. Overall, we could not believe how good the food was everywhere we went. In the village, we loved the Peaks' cafe sandwiches and soup, and even at the yurt (mid-mountain) we enjoyed fabulous lunches.

So glad you had such a great stay Kylie - I only wish we could have provided more snow during your stay - unfortunately I don't seem to have much pull with the weather gods :) Excellent tips on the the local dining - we have found that for a small mountain town it has top notch cuisine. Definitely check out Cedar House as it is very good. We are happy to provide assistance to guests with arranging babysitting, cooks or any other local services. Hope you come see us again next year.

My fiance and I choose this home to rent to surprise close family and friends with our wedding. Careful planning and speaking back and forth via emails from the owner put me at ease. He was extremely helpful, quick to respond.
Walking into his home I new instantly that we had made the best choice possible. Every single thing was perfect. They even had little extras thoughout the home. For example...flip flops by the back door for walking to and from the hot tub. Also a bucket of slippers for those of you with cold feet :)
The view was incredible Pictures can't even do this place justice!!
There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back to rent this home!! I am a picky person and like things a certain way and this home did not disappoint!!! :) -

Description and pictures don't do this property justice, excellent cabin with all the amenities. Communication with owner was easy and timely. Security deposit was was refunded quickly and without hassle. Would recommend this property to anyone and everyone.
