This 200 year old cottage is located just outside the village of Gortahork on the County Donegal coast and can sleep eight people in five bedrooms. Crannog Cottage is a 200 year old property located just outside the village of Gortahork on the coast of County Donegal. With three double bedrooms (one with an ensuite) and two single rooms, this cottage can sleep eight people. The cottage also contains a family bathroom and an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and two sitting rooms, both with open fires. Outside the cottage can be found off road parking for 4 cars and a patio area with lovely views. Ideal for a restful... and peaceful holiday, as there is no interference from a TV set, Crannog Cottage is a lovely holiday location if you just want to get away from it all.

Fuel, power and starter pack for open fires inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot available. Off road parking for 4 cars. Patio area with lovely views. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3.5 miles. Note: There is no TV at this property.

Region: The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Town: The village of Gortahork is situated on the north western tip of the County Donegal coast, and is a popular location for surfing and walking. There are several beaches around the area, and the village is home to the Samhain International Poetry Festival each year. From Gortahork, Glenveagh National Park is easily accessible for a great day out, and with 16,000 acres, it is a walker's paradise. From Gortahork, you can charter a boat and visit Aranmore, Cruit Island and Owey Island. Cruit Island is joined to the mainland by a bridge, so is easily reached by car, but chartering a boat is much more exciting! Nearby, the town of Dungloe plays host to the annual 'Mary From Dungloe' festival, and is renowned for its fantastic fishing.Read more

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
