This delightful bungalow is situated five miles from the village of Gortahork in County Donegal and it sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. Mountain View Cottage is a welcoming bungalow set five miles from the village of Gortahork in County Donegal. This cottage sleeps eight people in four bedrooms consisting of one king-size double with an ensuite shower room, one double with an ensuite shower room, one ground floor twin and another ground floor twin with study, as well as a ground floor family bathroom. This cottage also has as a fitted kitchen with dining area and snug with woodburning stove, a sitting room with open fire and a conservat...ory. Outside, there is off road parking for 2 cars and a lawned garden with patio and furniture. Mountain View Cottage is ideal for friends and families at any time of year.

Amenities: Oil central heating with open fire in sitting area and woodburning stove in snug. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer in utility, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Sky, DVD, CD/radio, selection of books. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for open fire and woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pub and restaurants 2.5 miles.

Region: The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Town: Gortahork is a village set on the County Donegal coast. The village is popular with surfers and walkers and the Samhain International Poetry Festival is held each year, plus there are a number of beaches in the area. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  The service was very good - easy key pick up and drop off, friendly owner. The home was very clean and comfortable and had every amenity we could wish for. Our son described it as 'bling, bling'. The location was quite remote but no problem with a car. The scenery was spectacular in every direction and the home was a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. Although the home was situated about 2 miles from the nearest major settlement, there were two supermarkets and one seemed to be open till very late every evening - even Sunday. Apart from the house itself, it was wonderful to be able to relax in the countryside, away from the noise of a city.

  The house had everything you could want and more. The 3 ticks rating does not do it justice(should be 5). The furnishings and equipment provided are of an extreemly high standard. The fridge and cupboards are far from empty when you arrive. The Sky TV is not just the basic free package & there is Sky plus so you can record and so many Dvds to watch that I could still be there now!
  The best quality holidy home I have ever stayed in
