Hut Pointe Inn is a charming, eco-friendly inn featuring seven lovely residences on lush grounds in Governors Harbour. Each large suite has two bedrooms,living room, kitchen, dining area and en suite bathroom. Each suite is fully air conditioned and features a king-size bed in the master bedroom, two twin-size beds in the second bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with microwaves,stove and oven, balconies,in-room safe, satellite tv,telephones,DVD players and free wifi.

Historic Hut Pointe was built in 1944 by the first Premier of the Bahamas (1964-1967), Sir Roland Symonette. Abandoned for over a decade, the beautiful, two-story solid stone... building was purchased and completely renovated in 2009 by new owners who appreciated its natural beauty and location. In 2009 and 2010, the owners installed a number of eco-friendly upgrades. Hut Pointe Inn is the only eco-friendly inn on the island of Eleuthera, utilizing solar for some of its electricity, solar hot water heating, solar and LED lighting, rainwater harvesting for all water, and a it has large organic garden which guests are welcome to use.

Hut Pointe Inn is centrally located 6 minutes from Governor's Harbour and 6 minutes from the airport, an ideal location for those wanting to explore the entire island. Most importantly, guests at Hut Pointe Inn are treated like family and return to us again and again.

The island of Eleuthera is very long and narrow, 110 miles long and in most spots, only about a mile wide. We are few minutes walk to both the Caribbean Side (Bahama Bank) and a lovely pink sand beach on the Atlantic Side. There are many other gorgeous beaches on Eleuthera, which are a short drive away and there is lots to explore, in addition to the beaches. Eleuthera is a warm and friendly place to come and it is very casual...most people say that Eleuthera is what they think about when they dream of a tropical island.   I've now stayed at Hut Pointe four times, and every time it has been a great experience. The owners are friendly and easy going. Adelaide and Brendan were both willing to help. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The rooms were clean and spacious, which is amazing considering I was traveling with three other girls. It was a great place to stay and I hope to be back soon!!!

  If you are looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing than Hut Pointe is a great choice! The rooms are spacious and very clean with a nice porch and balcony to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. There is a beautiful beach on the atlantic side which is about a 5 minute walk.
  The hosts, Adelaide and Brendan are very friendly and accommodating. On the day of our departure, Brendan even got out his battery charger and helped us out when our rental car refused to start! We also found Kathy, who is the manager of Hut Pointe to be extremely helpful and friendly. She knows all about the plants and trees growing on the property and was very happy to tell us about them.
  If you are looking for something in the fast lane this place is not for you but if you want a truly relaxing place to stay you will love it here.
  We can't wait to return next spring!
