Recently renovated village house offering luxury accommodation at an affordable price. Includes terrace and private walled garden with small relaxation pool.
Situated above the Moorish church at the top of the village this extremely spacious, split level 2 bedroomed house enjoys spectacular views of the almost perpetually snow-capped Sierra Nevada and the village itself.
The private entrance gate leads to a secluded walled garden with vine shaded dining area, relaxation pool and sunbathing terrace.

The Village
The picturesque village of Torvizcon nestles at the foot of Las Alpujarras. An unspoilt traditional Spanish farming village where you are as likely to meet a mule as a motor car! Situated one hour from Granada and 45 minutes from the coast, culture, countryside, beaches and skiing are all within easy reach.
With a population of just under 1000, the village has 4 bars plus a hotel and pension, both of which serve meals. There are also 3 small supermarkets, bakery, butchers, fishmongers and a weekly vegetable stall enabling you to do all your shopping without leaving the village. The traveling market visits on the 1st and 16th of every month with a selection of clothing, plants, nuts & olives etc. For a wider range of shops and a bustling Thursday market, the town of Orgiva is just 20 kilometers away. The village pool is open during the months of July and August and there are numerous fiestas throughout the year, the largest of these being the St Antonio Abad (fiesta of fire) in January.
You are surrounded by magnificent views of the Sierra Nevada and Contraviersa mountain ranges with walking up the Torvizcon Rambla and along the Rio Guadalfeo on your doorstep. For the more adventurous, Mulhacen is close at hand.
Popular with Spanish tourists but as yet relatively undiscovered by other nationalities, Torvizcon is an extremely friendly pueblo blanco and an ideal place to observe and enjoy the traditional Spanish way of life.

This rental is perfect if you are fit and able bodied. The village along with all those in the area are built into the hillside. With that goes the fact you have to climb steep ( and they are steep ) roads/alleys to get to the property. It is clean and well appointed with good views over the village. Ginny & Terry are very welcoming and even did some shopping for us as we were due to arrive on a Saturday pm and shops are shut Sat and Sun. The walking in the area is superb. The village has a number of bars and little shops and has a very friendly atmosphere. Our dog was made very welcome.

Excellent service from Ginny and Terry. Great house lots of areas to sit at different times of the day.Topped off by the lovely pool. Torvizcon is a lovely sleepy village but enough to keep you well fed and watered. Many scenic drives through countryside and pretty villages. If you need to drive to the beach it is well manageable, but so nice to return home at the end of the day to the peace and quiet.
Brilliant place to stay, highly recommended. We are returning again this year, need I say more -

Ginny's welcome is always cheering and the house clean and welcoming.
As "old fogies" the shortish hill climb from the shops,cafe and vill. hotel is a bit taxing but not too bad.
The pool , sitting-out area, and top terrace are a real bonus and we enjoy the church clock striking !!
