Additional Location Information
Plaza Nueva is a lovely open square in the very heart of the old city of Granada. It is at the meeting point of the Albaicín, Realejo and Centro neighbourhoods. From here you take Cuesta Gomerez, a steep street, to reach the Alhambra.
It was built in the 16th Century to cover over the River Darro at a point where there were several bridges which were unable to cope with all of the traffic going up and down to the Alhambra. Plaza Nueva was so named (New Square) as it was the first to be built by Christians in the city. It became the site of popular tournaments, bull fights and even public executions!
Today the square still plays an important part in Granada's daily life. The terrace bars make a good spot to spend time relaxing after a day's tourism or perhaps to summon up the strength for the climb up to the Albaicin or Alhambra while contemplating some of the lovely architecture.
Highlights
· The heart of the old city - only 5 minutes from the Cathedral and 20 from the Alhambra
· The Courthouse - once the Royal Chancellery, built in the 16th century
· Terrace bars and restaurants

Longview, WashingtonGreat View and Location
Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This intimate apartment is in a prime location and has fantastic views of alhambra and the Plaza from the living room and the nice terrace. It was clean and quiet with adequately stocked kitchen and bathroom. In fact, the huge towels seemed to be brand new. The lift is small, even by European standards but maybe most important the flat is pretty small. Perhaps "intimate" would be a better description. If you don't need a lot of space this apartment will provide you a great base from which to explore and enjoy Granada as most of the top sights are within walking distance. Customer service was great. In fact our late checkout needs were met very graciously.

Ottawa, CanadaGreat location, good apartment

We had booked the terrace duplex apartment but upon arrival were told it was unavailable (due to a technical issue with the alarm system). We were offered the first floor apartment,, which we accepted, even though we were disappointed not to get the terrace duplex on the upper floor. The first floor apartment was very modern and clean. The double bed was very comfortable (we are both tall). The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was quite small, but serviceable. The view to the Plaza Nueva was great. There are lots of restaurants, convenience type stores and food markets in the area. The WiFi service did not work. We tried connecting by going into the stairwell but that didn't work either. We did not get a receipt of payment for the full amount upon arrival. The two contact phone numbers supplied in the reservation did not work for us. More clear instructions on how to dial a spanish phone number from a non-spanish phone number would be helpful.

Los Angeles, CaliforniaBest view and stay in Granada
Left on 06/29/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This penthouse apartment is just the way it looks in the pictures. Clean, modern, priced very well with all the key amenities, a private terrace, and an awesome view - the alhambra to your right, Albaycin to your left, and Plaza Nueva directly below. Aurelia, who greeted us, was very friendly and helpful. The location was great because everything was no more than a 20 minute walk away, and it was surprisingly quiet at night despite being at the plaza. The only downfall is the loud bell tower nearby, which rings every hour throughout the night. Luckily, we had earplugs so it was alll good. We would definitely stay here again, and have recommended it to our closest family & friends.

Great apartment on 5th floor with a lift to the 4th floor, not suitable for children. Great views with morning sunshine on balcony which meant that the apartment did not get too hot during the day. Overlooking the Nueva Plaza which was noisy until late evening but if you keep the windows closed and use the air con then its no problem, you feel part of the city when sitting on the balcony with all the smells and sounds from the Plaza. The apartment is close to all amenities, walking distance to the alhambra and Cathedral and all surrounding areas which are interesting to wander around. Apartment is well equipped, only problem we had was that the wifi signal was only picked up by our phones when we went out the apartment door on to the staircase and then it was strong signal, not very good if you wanted to use a laptop as you would have to sit on the stairs to use it.
