      Wonderful stay in rural andalucia

Left on 09/19/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Have just spent two weeks at this villa in rural andalucia. The villa is in a wonderful position looking down a cross a valley to a lake and beyond. One of the great features of the villa is the terrace which has a very clever arrangement with overhead 'sails; which keeps the terrace shady all day making it a very comfortable place to laze about on. It had all the facilities one would expect and was very easy to live in for two weeks. Nik made everything straightforward so there were no difficulties with arranging the rental and the instructions for finding the property were clear and accurate. If you want a well appointed comfortable villa off the usual tourist track then this villa is highly recommended.

      Chilled out and wonderful

Left on 04/14/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We spent the week before Easter with our perants and children in the fantastiv Villa Christoble. Although there is plenty to see locally in Granada and Malaga, we opted to spend most of our time on the beautiful terrace looking down to the Lake and enjoying our house.
      We'll be back!

      Home From Home Villa

Left on 04/12/2012 for a stay in April 2012

A beautiful, modern, spacious villa containing a wonderfully well-stocked kitchen. The bedrooms are a pleasure to sleep in owing to comfortable beds and excellent shutters. Our children have never slept so well. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

      Lost in magnificent andalucia

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011

This is a charming house, surrounded by thousands of olive trees. The view is amazing, and the height helps to get a bit of freshness, especially in the early morning. Nothing is missing about the equipment, except really good knives. The swimming pool is nice, the hi-fi system as well. One of the rooms is really small, but a couple can still sleep in. Great house.

      Chilled and Relaxed

Left on 09/05/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Nik and Jackie made us extremely welcome and our whole stay was very chilled and relaxed. House was lovely, pool great and views amazing! Some fab local tapas bars with delicious food and cheap prices! The more we got to know the area, the more we liked it. We now have a severe case of the holiday blues...

      Best holiday for years!!

Left on 08/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011

The location of the villa was excelent, close enough to a couple of small villages for provisions and eating/drinking but far enough out in the country to get away from it all. The locals were friendly and helpful. It was also easy to get to visit such wonderful places as the alhambra and the Torcal de antequerre.

Jacky and Nik were everything you could want from owners, knowledgable about the area, helpful in sorting out any problems and above all friendly and considerate.

The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, the pool used every day.

      Without doubt we shall return.

      A very excellent holiday

Left on 10/04/2010 for a stay in September 2010

We had a wonderful time, age group spanned from 70 to 18 months. the house was very comfortable, with wonderful views down the valley with the l;akes in the background. The swimming pool was a great success and very safe for the 2 todlers, which had worried us before arriving. , We had great weather so the sunsets from the terrace at dinnertime were incredible. It is a wonderful area, with olive trees as far as one can see. Nik Rainer was very helpful with all our queries, also gave good suggestions for entertaining the children and locatiing nice restaurants and bars.

A fantastic place in stunning surroundings. I would recommend any of their properties. Rustic, authentic but with all the amenities you could hope for and beautifully decorated, it all made for a very chilled out holiday.

Coupled with great weather, charming hosts, it's the perfect getaway.

      Our Stay Was Perfect

Left on 08/28/2010 for a stay in June 2010

Our stay at the Villa San Cristobal was perfect! TheVilla is beautifiul, with marble floors from nearby quarries, numerous bedrooms, and a great kitchen. The setting makes it really special. We ate most of our meals on the patio adjoining the kitchen/living room. From here we enjoyed a sweeping view over miles of olive trees to a lake about twenty miles away. Each evening we enjoyed the sunsets as we ate.

The swimming pool, which is just below the patio, gave us many hours of fun with the kids.

The Villa is located outside a tiny village and is a short ride from Loja, an interesting larger town with good restaurants. Outside Loja there is a spectacular waterfall where we swam. Cascades of flowers grew down the cliffs beside the waterfall. We were the only ones there.

The Villa provides a peaceful retreat yet is only an hour or so from larger cities when you want to spend time looking at historic landmarks (El alhambra) or enjoying the excitement of some of Spain's beautiful cities.

I can't recommend the Villa highly enough, and Nik and Jacqui, the owners, are fabulous!

      Great location unspoilt area

Left on 08/27/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We stayed atVilla San Cristobal for 10 days and had a super holiday. The villa is in a great location with lovely views over the surrounding olive groves. The villa is spacious and offers good accomodation for a family. There are wonderful night skies unspoilt by light pollution and stunning sunsets from the terrace. Granada and Cordoba are easily accessible for a day trip. Ideal villa for a relaxing time.

The most amazing location with luxurious accomodation

Left on 05/18/2010 for a stay in April 2010

This villa is both luxurious and homely with everything that you could possibly need for a family stay. We had 4 'children' with us - aged 20, 18, 15 and 2 and despite the wide range of ages the villa met everyones needs completely and noone wanted to go home! The kitchen is the best resourced kitchen I have ever stayed in on a holiday. The views from the villa and the gardens truly take your breath away and once you are here you really will not want to go out except to restock on local food and wine. Sitting on the patio late into the evening watching the sun going down over the mountains and sipping carva is the best way to recover from the demands of home and work. And swimming in the pool whilst looking at the mountains is just amazing. Nik is extremely welcoming, provides local informaiton about where to visit and where to eat and is willing to do anything that you need without intruding into your family holiday. The perfect host!

In short I can't recommend this villa highly enough - when we read the details we thought that it sounded too good to be true - but it was true!

stunning views, tranquil setting and stylish accommodation

Left on 10/16/2009 for a stay in July 2009

Just wanted to say a big thank you for our stay in Villa San Cristobal and generally rave about our time there. We had a fantastic stay in the villa-for me it was the perfect combination of modern and rustic style with loads of special touches. We really loved the original art work!

The views are to die for and many a bottle of wine was enjoyed watching the sunset from the terraces. Our favourite thing was the fab secluded pool among the olives groves! It was like swimming on top of the world!

It was great to have all the mod cons to make the holiday go smoothly, wifi etc...but still have such a unique, tranquil setting.

We really loved the location and managed to get to Granada and Cordoba with no problems. The owner's local knowledge was vast and helped us make the most of the local fiestas and sights- of which there are too many to mention!!!

Staying in this villa was a real treat for the soul and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! We will definitely return.

Great finca in a superb rural location.

Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in July 2009

The villa is a good size, in good condition and well equipped. The location overlooking olive groves and a valley is superb. There is an adequately sized swimming pool and good terrace for relaxing on.

The location is very much in the countryside which is a major attraction. It does mean that restaurants are a car journey (or long walk)away.

Nik and his family are very helpful and willing to give information and advice on the area.

We had a great holiday. Highly recommended!

      Unforgettable Break

Left on 10/09/2009 for a stay in July 2009

Superb quality accommodation, marvellous views and all the peace and
tranquillity you could ask for. Made to feel very welcome by the owners.
Wonderful light in the rooms, a sense of space and calm everywhere - even in
the patios and other outside areas.
Tastefully decorated with lots of extras to entertain ourselves with during the
balmy evenings - when we werent either in the spacious pool or hiking over
      the surrounding hills and forests.
All in all, one of our best breaks ever in Spain, and the Loja area was
fascinating. We will have to return and explore more of this undiscovered
      treasure!
