This villa offers very nice accommodation at a very reasonable price. 7 average size bedrooms with small ensuites, good living areas and kitchen. The grounds are overgrown and the track in presently requires a 4WD. While Granada and the coast are within reach there is not a lot else to do if you don't want to laze by the nice pool and terrace. Try El Caprichio restaurant in town but give the other one a miss. There is also a bar which serves food. Scenery is spectacular.

Broseley, Shropshire, EnglandWhat a fantastic place, absolutely brilliant, just what we hoped

Villa Trastamara en Cazulas is a really great place, the villa was spacious and superbly appointed. The bedrooms with ensuite are very well finished, with super views along the valley, ideal for both the early morning sun and beautiful sunsets. On the ground floor the dining room and lounge are large and ideal for enjoying the day and evening. The kitchen was really great, very well appointed, a good size and made it very easy to cater for meals and use as a breakfast room if needed. Outside the villa has lots of patio space, with sunny and shady areas for all times of the day. The seperate terracotta patio overlooking the valley was our special evening haunt, ideal for those quiet gin and tonic reflective chats whilst the sun set. We found the pool to be great fun both day and evening, with lots of space to spread out.
The location is very picturesque, tranquil and idealic, yet only a short car ride to the local village, and all the essential amenities.
We loved the place, we had a super time relaxing in the villa and the grounds, exploring the local countryside. -

DK-2840 HolteMarvellous place for a family vacation
Left on 04/12/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We rented Villa Trastamara on the occasion of Susannes 60th birthday. We chose VT as it comprises the number of bedrooms we needed and also because of the fine pictures on the net.
We expected to find an appropriately spaced and well-equipped place for our family gathering (our grandchildren: 1 baby, two smaller kids, 1 teenager and one youngster, our 3 children, one son-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law and ourselves, the parents/grandparents.
Our first impression when we arrived and was wellcomed warmly be Mr Emilio Baldomero who introduced the house to us, was that this place was much better than we had expected. Especially the standard of the bedrooms impressed us, well-equipped, very clean and each of them provided with a bathroom.
Also the kitchen, the living room and the dining room were of a high standard and well-equipped with "real furnitures", not simply "hotel-like" things. We liked the atmosphere of a private home in these rooms, leaving the impression that a family had been living here comfortably just before we arrived.
The kids were very excited about the swimming pool and the orange trees and all the space inside and outside the house.
The mountainous landscape with its olive tree groves around the house is beautiful and so quite that the only sounds heard were the from the birds singing in the trees. Actually no trafic noise or any other noise could be heard. An excellent place for contemplation and reading, if that is what one is looking for.
We left VT with a feeling of having stayed in the best possible frames for a relaxing, joyful. peaceful family gathering which suited the needs of everybody from the 3 month old Julie to the grandparents (60 and 71 years old, respectively). -

LondonStunning views by day and perfect for astronomy at night
Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The house itself is spacious, authentic, and atmospheric. The microclimate is as good as advertised, and you are surrounded by the sights and scents of sun-warmed fruit trees. The balcony, pool, and other outdoor areas offer amazing views with some spectacular sunsets.
As an amateur astronomer I found it perfect for a small telescope or binoculars - the skies are clear and free of light pollution, and there is a patio area uphill from the main buildings so even the house lights won't bother you. Th geographic location, and the viewing angles, mean great views of Sagittarius and other sights not seen from Northern Europe. Highly recommended. -

LondonPerfect get-away with fantastic pool and view
Left on 09/19/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Villa Trastamara en Cazulas is comfortably furnished with all mod-cons and plenty of space for large families and groups.
We had a very relaxing time there and enjoyed lounging by the pool and spending the evenings on the terraces. The views from the villa are breathtaking and ideal for watching eagles.
We also particularly enjoyed picking and eating the fresh figs, almonds, apples, pears and lemons from the numerous trees around the house.
Other highlights included the various interesting day-trips (coast/beach, Alhambra in Granada, walking in the nearby valleys with a swim in the river).
We had a wonderful time and look forward to going back!

This is a great house for bigger families or groups, you have everything you can wish for in the house. Only disadvantage is the distance to the restaurants, you always have to bring the car

Our stay at Villa Trastamara en Cazulas was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect. Very quiet and relaxing, but also close enough to the coast and Granada for easy day trips. The villa itself was stunning, with a fabulous pool and terrace area. We were very happy with our stay, and would definitely go back!
