New AlbanyWonderful Spring Break in the Caymans
Left on 03/23/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This home was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and open. The view was perfect of the water and the reef. We agree that the snorkeling right behind the home was some of the best on the island. We saw Rays (adult and young), lion fish, a green moray eel, lobsters, and fish of every description within sight of the house. My son enjoyed knocking down coconuts and opening them each morning for breakfast.

We traveled with my family (2 kids ages 5 and 2) and my parents. The place was roomy enough for all of us to have some space. They had most everything we needed. The only thing that was not there was a hair dryer. The reef out front was great for snorkeling. Not so great for kids to play in the surf as there are big rocks/coral jutting up out of the water. Really pretty, though. Rum point just up the way was perfect for the kids... lounge chairs and plenty of shade. Pricey, though. We did have groceries delivered before we arrived which worked out pretty well. The chisholm store about 3 miles away had a bunch of items as well. The house had a bunch of sand toys for the kids as well as a couple boogie boards and some noodles to swim with. I would highly recommend getting a ENO hammock and stringing it between one of two sets of palm trees. Easy 35 minute drive from the airport to the house. We really liked Kaibo restaurant and the fine dining restaurant at Rum Point. Coconut curry sauce at Kaibo is really really good! The place has no wifi, but does have an ethernet plug in... i left my ethernet cord there, so I think that makes 2 of them.

Great house in a great area
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Stayed for a week in June, 2011. Certainly "paradise" is the best-fitting term that comes to mind. Excellent location for relaxing and snorkeling with a short walk to Rum Point for a bit more activity. A bit of a drive from the airport but that's the price of getting a large swath of beach all to yourself. The only downsides were that it was windy all week, and that the beach is a mix of sand an coral (so water shoes / sandals are required). We were two families, one with two kids and one with three kids, but there was plenty of space for all. Highly recommended.
Good snorkeling right from the house, with better snorkeling only a 100y swim away (at the barrier coral). -

Staying at Conquered Fame was fantastic. From the moment you walk into the house, you are forced to relax. The house is very comfortable and had all of the necessities to make our stay extremely comfortable. We spent the entire week grilling, swimming, snorkeling, and just relaxing in front of an amazing landscape. The owners were very easy to interact with and we plan on visiting again soon.

T.J.,
Yes, we really loved staying at your lovely home. It was just what we were hoping for. The children enjoyed having a home on the beach for 2 weeks, and never had a shortage of things to do, from snorkeling, flying kites, digging up conch shells on the beach, or inspecting the wildlife in the tidal pools. They named the lizards living under the deck, and built a shelter, complete with a "flag” in the backyard with old palm leaves. We all enjoyed the Rum Point and Kaibo area, as well as a trip to the botanic garden, turtle farm, and a boat charter. Mostly, though, we enjoyed just spending time at the house.
By the end of 2 weeks, we felt like locals, cooking up all kinds of new things, and visiting the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning. No one wanted to go home.
The bedroom lay-out worked out well for our family, giving everyone a bed, as well as some space for my husband and myself to relax in after the kids were asleep. (no one camped out in the living room)
I have already recommended your home to another family who was interested in learning more about our awesome vacation! Thanks so much for the opportunity.

Perfect for large family or two small families. About one half mile from Rum Point. Plenty to do near the property but away from the hub bub of seven mile beach. The snorkling from the beach behind the villa is as good as any on the island that we could find.

Conquered Fame was really great!
First, the owners were very helpful and provided lots of information prior to our trip. The house had everything we could need and was inviting, clean and very comfortable.
The beach right out the back door is beautiful and welcoming. Overall, Rum Point is serene, gorgeous and not too touristy. We spent many afternoons enjoying refreshments at the Wreck Bar and Kaibo, which is a close walk from the house. We also took advantage of the snorkeling options offered at Red Sail.
Conquered Fame was absolutely the right choice for us! -

We loved this house and plan on returning next year. The house is perfect for families, high chair and pack 'n' play available, lots of games and books. We had fresh coconut water every day from the trees around the house (if you do not know how to chop a coconut, the landscaping crew will be more than happy to do that for you). Quiet area of the island, a nice relaxing get away.

Blackduck, MNA Cayman Christmas
Left on 01/09/2011 for a stay in December 2010
My husband was a bit reluctant to part from his tradtiional Northern Minnesota Christmas, but it was time to listen to our 5 grown children and have a warm holiday. Last February (2010), I began looking for flights and places to stay. We had visited the Caymans 3 times previously and I knew of the Rum Point area. I found the Conquered Fame rental website, and knew it would be perfect for our family. The home was everything we expected and more. The view, island landscape, cleanliness, and organization of the reservation. The best snorkeling we found was right in front of Conquered Fame, many species to observe and photograh. Nice restaurants close. I would recommend a trip to Hurleys for large amounts of groceries which was about a 30 minute drive, but the trip was fun, plus I needed experience driving on the left side of the road!!! If you are considering a trip to the Caymans in the future, look to reserve Conquered Fame, when we return again, we will.

Paoli, PAGlorious, memorable vacation at million-dollar location!
Left on 09/11/2010 for a stay in June 2010
This is the third year in a row that our multigenerational family has enjoyed a glorious, memorable 2-week vacation at Conquered Fame. There is something for everyone in this million-dollar setting! It is wonderful to walk out the door and onto the soft sand beach (the sand is pinker here than in Bermuda). It is a delight to look out the wide porch windows to the glorious blue-green sea. Our family found your home to be well-equipped, very comfortable, nicely decorated, and thoroughly clean upon our arrival. We like the closeness to Rum Point (quick drive or an easy walk along the beach) and enjoyed many lunches (and drinks) at the Wreck Bar. Each year we go to the Caribbean B-B-Q at nearby Kaibo Yacht Club. The adults (6) and children (2) love the delicious food and dancing on the beach. Our two young grandchildren love "the house with all the colors” and still talk about the beach and the warm, "see through” water. We did bring down frozen steaks, burgers, etc. for cooking on the grill. (It's OK to bring frozen meats into GC as long as it is in the original store wrapping with Usda seal. We pack them in an insulated bag and they are still frozen when we arrive at the house.) Our family created many treasured memories at Conquered Fame! Thanks for sharing your wonderful home. Everything was outstanding!

If you want to get away from the Seven Mile Beach area and see all Grand Cayman has to offer, then this is the place for you.
Wonderful Rum Point location that can't be beat. The East End is only minutes away. Stay here and you'll appreciate the beauty of the entire Island.
Walk out the back door and enjoy: "your" beach, great snorkeling, awesome ocean views, and all the warm breezes that you want. Oh, the star gazing at night is unbeatable.
Yes George Town is 30 minutes, but you'll that's why you want to stay at Rum Point.
We four adults and two teens had plenty of room and everyone had a great Cayman experience.
If you scuba dive, want to visit Stingray City, watch beautiful sunsets, see colorful fish or just chill and relax, then Conquered Fame is for you. -

Santa Barbara, CAConquered Fame - Fantastic!
Left on 08/27/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We have now made it home from Conquered Fame, and of course, we are missing it, and all of Grand Cayman already. Your home worked our for our families, perfect in every way. We enjoyed the location, the beach, the water, and all the amenities of the house. We found no better snorkeling on the island than right out the back door, and no more beautiful scenery for pictures, than right off the back deck. Spending our last few hours gazing over the ocean, towards the reef really captured our hearts, and made a lasting impression on all of us. We truly fell in love with the island. Thanks for opening your home for us, and sharing such a wonderful spot.
Thank you!
