North Palm Beach, FlOur October Retreat!
Left on 11/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We have been coming here for years. It always feels like we own the place and feels so much like home. The owners are so friendly and helpful. If we had anything negative to say, we would have to make up something. This is truly a treasure and we are so thankful to have found it. The website represents itself 100% and there are no surprises unless you count the yummy cookies, apple cider and organic coffee that await you! We will continue to visit every year - Outstanding!

What a wonderful place to stay - our dogs also had a fantastic time. The trails were great for kids, adults, and pets. The cottage was so relaxing, cosy, fun, and entertaining. We grilled, hiked, enjoyed the hot tub, explored the nearby falls.

Everything was great!!! We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast brought to our door in a basket and the wonderful pizza served piping hot. Anything we needed was there in the cottage. It was very comfortable and roomy with a great view of the mountains. Just perfect!!

There is so much that Grandview Mountain Cottages offers, from the Hospitality of owners "Papa" Phil and Ilaeka and the accommodations to the activities on the farm or in nearby areas that you will probably wish you were staying longer. We have always found a reason to come back. Many people travel with their children. We travel with our dogs and this is what initially attracted us to Grandview. Our dogs were welcomed and they so enjoyed running in the fields and splashing in the fishing pond. The decks made a great place to bathe and dry after playtime.
Since there is always something we did not get to do the last time we were there, we look forward to returning. If we ever do get to "do it all" we will return just to hang out and relax in the hammocks and watch leaves fall. -

Washington, DCCharm and quiet, eco-friendly luxury in a country setting
Left on 03/17/2011 for a stay in July 2010
This family has found a way to combine their values: organic/eco-friendly, Southern hospitality and food, and European flair for style - into some great vacation rentals. I came for a small family reunion, and we relaxed in these super-cute, newly-remodeled cabins, hiked on trails over this large farm with rolling hills and wonderful views, fished in the little pond in the woods, listened to blue grass music at night in nearby town, and soaked in the hot tub at night while watching shooting stars. The owners had thought of everything in the fully-equipped rental cabins, including a lovely welcome basket of yummy goodies. We paid a bit extra for a home-cooked farm breakfast made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The owners (who live in the "farm house") are warm and welcoming, and gave us great ideas of local activities, although I think relaxing was my favorite activity of all! The only problem? Not wanting to leave!

We met for a mini family reunion and occupied The Pinecone and her sister cottage The Honeysuckle in what we were expecting to be a very cold 4 day weekend . The weather was incredibly warm, so we spent lots of time on the beautiful hiking trails, in the relaxing hottub, and just chilling with family on the decks of both cottages! The Pinecone was perfect in every way! We grilled out one night, were treated to a freshly baked, delicious Papa Phil's pizza another evening and super yummy( as my niece said) Farmhouse Breakfast each morning! We felt like a royalty!! We look forward to our next visit- hopefully very soon!!! Thanks Ilaeka and Papa Phil for a memorable family vacation!

Byrdstown, TNUnbelievable memorable experience!

Grandview Mountain Cottages is a slice of heaven, tucked away in the mountains of the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. This charming, exquisite cottage took me back to my days living and travelling through Europe. The unbelievable hospitality, the attention to detail, the endless amenities and the splendid setting, was so enjoyable. The cottages have a european flair, elegant, environmental friends and so comfortable. The children (and parents) loved the sprawling fields, pond, organic garden and the peacefulness of the countryside. The meals provided by "Papa Phil" are still being remembered today and we can't wait to go back and experience more of his cooking and the fun and enjoyable stay at Grandview Mountain Cottages.
