Unseriös - Enttäuschend
Eine Übergabe bei Check-In am Samstag, wie sie sonst bei Ferienhäusern üblich ist, fand nicht statt. Die Schiebetür vom Wohnbereich zum Pool war von anfang an defekt und ließ sich nicht abschließen. Erst am Montag konnte diese repariert werden. Desgleichen war die Geschirrspülmaschine kaputt und die Klimaanlage in den Schlafräumen hat nur in der ersten Nacht funktioniert. Die ersten Tage unseres aufenthaltes haben wir unzählige Male mit den Verantwortlichen vor Ort, Herrn Jansen telefoniert. Oft liess er sich verleugnen oder hat nicht zurückgerufen. Die Handwerker sind gekommen und gegangen, die Mängel konnten nur teilweise beseitigt werden. Die Geschirrspülmaschine wurde am Donnerstag repariert, d.h. die Kunden haben fast die ganze erste Woche von Hand gespült. Die Klimaanlage wurde gar nicht repariert. Erst auf Intervention unsererseits bekamen wir drei Ventilatoren, leider erst nach Tagen und nicht sofort. Ein Schlafraum hat keine Fenster, nur ein Oberlicht, und konnte nicht gelüftet werden. Ein weiteres großes Problem war die Tatsache, dass das Haus keinen ausreichenden Schattenplatz hat. Die zwei Segel, die gespannt sind, sind völlig unzureichend.Die Sonnenschirme würden nicht mehr installiert, weil sie immer ins Tal wehen würden war uns gegenüber die lapidare antwort von Herrn Jansen. Der Pool wurde in den zwei Wochen des aufenthaltes nur ein einziges Mal gereinigt, vorgesehen waren zwei Reinigungen pro Woche.
Die agentur Sicilycottages hat bisher keine Rückerstattung gewährt. Nun ist es Ende November 2011. Sie reagieren einfach nicht auf unsere Reklamation. Sehr unseriös.

Amazing!!!
Nous avons vécu les vacances parfaites!! Tout y était pour une semaine de relaxation.
La maison et la piscine étaient très propre à notre arrivée. L'acceuil de Ruben très sympathique (merci pour ses bons conseils pour la visite des alentours).
La terrasse et la piscine sont ensoleillées toute la journée, et l'on peut voir la mer au loin. La maison est équipée de très belles salles de bains, chambres avec belle vue et une cuisine très complète. Tout est neuf et fonctionnel.
Seul petit bémol de cette villa : l'accès et la localisation. On y accède par un petit chemin de terre sinueux et grimpant, donc attention aux grosses voitures qui ne passent pas. D'une manière générale, c'est une villa à éviter si l'on est avec de jeunes enfants.

What a great escape! We never tired of sitting out on the terrace, taking in the fabulous panoramic views. Candlelit dinners with ingredients from the local markets and wonderful Sicilian wines - what a contrast to the narrow busy lanes of Taormina

We loved the architecture of the house. The space works really well. I don't know what the wood is in the lower ground floor, but the scent is really nice and it was great to walk on.
The mornings are starting to chill but we braved the waters of the pool almost every day; it was very 'refreshing'. it certainly made us feel we deserved the good food!!
A tip on the reataurant front in Taormina, as well as a couple of good 'slow food' restaurants, we found an excellent restaurant called 'La Capanera' (it's on the coast road , north of Taormina between the railroad and the sea near the north junction into Taormina. You have to book in advance , young chef and team. I think it has a Michelin star, it was fabulous.”

Villa with amazing views
What a view! We are particular when it comes to views as we sample a great one from my parents garden in the south of France .. but this one was panoramic with the 'nobody around factor' and you can't beat this!

“What to say? Incredible and amazing house.
We enjoyed every single minute of our vacation:
- The swimming pool and my every morning sports
and yoga; The outdoor chairs , sunbathing or
moonwachting; the ‘rearanged’ sofas in the living
room; What a great ‘ambiance lights’!!!
- The fantastic rooms and xquisite BATHROOMS, we
used both and we still don’t know which one is the
best :-)
I wish to the newcomers to be delighted as we have
been. This house is new and only a few people had
the chance to live in it… But I have found a
spirit, a good one, we created vibes, very good
ones so I really hope you will add more emotions
and feelings for a wonderful home.

Salve,
After 2 weeks in this Sicilian Eden I can fly back
to Paris in pretty good shape. In my opinion this
is the best place to stay in Sicily.
- New, modern & comfortably arranged house
- Beautiful landscape
- Nice weather every day
- Swimming pool..
