Glengynack Cottage is situated just two miles from Grantown on Spey and offers accommodation for groups of up to six people. Glengynack Cottage is ideal for large families or a group of friends. The property is decorated to a high standard throughout and backs onto a rear garden, from which you can enjoy a spot of outdoor dining in the summer evenings. For the colder months, the property is heated by electric storage heaters and has its own wood-burning stove. There is off-road parking for up to two cars, and the local amenities are only two miles away.

Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV, DVD, CD player/cassette/radio, small library of games/books/DVDs. Off peak fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned area with garden furniture & BBQ. Sorry, no pets & no smoking. Shops & pubs 2 miles. Note: Property lies on A95 trunk road.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: Grantown on Spey is situated in the centre of the Scottish Highlands and is only 12 miles from Aviemore. It is a traditional Highland town on the River Spey, located on the northern edge of the outstanding Cairngorms National Park, which is recognised as a Special Area of Conservation. The town itself is surrounded by Anagach Woods - ancient Scots Pine woodlands, which offer a unique habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. The woods date back to 1766, have way marked trails and there is walking for all abilities. There are also numerous other walks and trails around the town, offering spectacular views over the surrounding hills and mountains. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We had a little trouble finding the cottage and had to be talked in by the very freindly land lady who lived on site, but for peace, location and wild life it was excellent.

  The main problem were our difficulties to find an arrangement with the owner about the working hours of the heating (and hot water). The sleeping room of our children was moist and humid, as we could not get it really warm during the few hours of heating in work.
