This was our first visit to Stonegarth and will certainly not be our last. A very warm welcome with a feeling of home from home. Very warm and cosy and above all, very very peaceful.

This property was very well furnished with all that was needed for our stay. Very spacious and perfectly located for the village restaurants and and cafes. The owners who live on the premises were hepful and friendly without being intrusive. Off road parking was a comforting bonus. We would be very happy to return and hope to do so in 2013.

"Cottage" description is misnomer as property adjoins guest house.
Otherwise property is as described, well furnished and clean throughout.Superb location for easy access to centre of Grasmere.
However,an internal door from guest house directly into area between the bedroom and lounge/kitchen, denied an acceptable level of sound prooofing. Each evening, at intervals until well after 10pm, easily audible conversations by one or both owners and constant sound of step footfall were evident This served as an intrusion and detracted from feeling of privacy. -

Stonegarth cottage is a lovely place to stay right in the heart of the village of Grasmere. We were made very welcome by the owners Sharon and attilio, who also own the guest house. The cottage has a very spacious lounge/diner/kitchen area, and a good size bedroom. Adjoined to the bedroom is a walk in wet room/toilet, which was great to use. There is loads of wardrobe/cupboard space and everything is nice and modern and new. Its the best self catering accomodation weve stayed in, every little detail has been carefully thought out by the owners, to make it a home from home.

The cottage was outstanding and the facilities excellent.Good location for visiting tourist areas but peaceful and quiet if you need solitude. Hospitality excellent Curteous and very helpful.I would highly recommend staying at this cottage and I would certainly stay here again.

The 'cottage' is attached to Stonegarth Guest House but is totally independent
The owners have thought of everything for the comfort and convenience of their guests - we really cannot think of any adverse aspects of the cottage.
We certainly intend to stay here again when we next stay in the Lakes.
