The Tree House is a modern beachfront holiday home. It is set on a sunny 1/4 acre Pohutukawa-clad private section overlooking beautiful white sandy beaches,Tryphena Harbour and Coromandel Peninsula.

All rooms have stunning views and open onto wrap around decks. 1 queen and 1 twin bedroom, large kitchen/dining room with piano & large lounge with comfortable day beds for reading or relaxation. Maximum of 5 guests. Sole occupancy.

Cooking facilities comprise of a 4 burner gas hob in the kitchen, and a large 4 burner hooded BBQ on the adjacent sunny deck.

Choose between two safe white sand beaches just across the road or the t...iny cove between them on Pah Point.

From the property you are likely to see Tui, Kaka, Kereru, Banded Rail and Kingfishers as well as pods of dolphins that often cruise Tryphena Harbour.

Only 2 minutes walk to shops, Cafe and Irish Pub.

  We have stayed here many, many times over the last 10 years. It is in a fabulous location, the best spot on the Island. It is a short 2 minute stroll to the local store, the Irish pub and a fantastic cafe. The beach 2 minutes in the other direction is perfect for swimming, calm and great for little kids.
  The house is very tidy, comfortable and spacious. The decks wrap around the house so you can pick a sunny spot anytime of the day. The BBQ is a must every night for dinner.
  It is simply a quiet, beautiful retreat where you can relax and unwind in nature. We plan to return again soon.

  A great holiday with family from overseas

  This house is in a fantastic location, only 50 metres from two fabulous beaches. There is a dinghy available for fishing which was excellent. We caught all the fish we needed for 4 of us in approximately 1 hour. The house is also within a short walk to a general store, cafe and pub and it is an easy drive to the airport and other popular scenic places on the island.
  The house itself is modern with large decks and built around an enormous pohutukawa tree. It is very comfortable and contains everything you need for a great holiday. Great Barrier is a magnificent Island to show off particularly to friends or family from overseas.

  Great stay at the tree house, everything was as advertised, nice rooms great views and the kids caught fish on the beach below. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen, house had everything. A real family treat, just playing board games, kids playing at the beach and enjoying the view. Also recommend Chaos Fish Charter, caught heaps of snapper.

  While travelling in NZ, from the UK, we stayed at the Tree House for just under a week at the end of March 2010 & had such a wonderful time. We'd highly recommend the Tree House to anyone looking for a place to stay on Great barrier Island. There's two beautiful beaches literally left and right of the house and only a stone's through away. A few mins walk away is a general store, a cafe that does great food and a bar/restaurant. Everyone we met on the island, including the flight on the way, were so incredibly friendly. It was definitely one of our biggest highlights in NZ.
  
  The accommodation is clean, tidy, and very comfortable with everything you could wish for. We have two young boys (2yrs & 5yrs) who thoroughly enjoyed the house and the location. However, I would recommend the Tree House to anyone with or without children.
  
  If you're like myself and always searching around the internet for the right thing make sure you book mark the Tree House. From the moment we arrived we knew we'd made a fantastic choice and after a week of exploring this beautiful island it only confirmed our initial thoughts.
