Lovely, sunny cape on quiet country road. The three bedroom, sun-filled house is located on a beautiful acre surrounded by woods. In the summer, bright flowers attract butterflies and birds. The garden is professionally maintained, so you don't have to do anything but enjoy it! Read, nap and grill on the peaceful backyard patio.In the winter tall pines surround the property, birds flock to the feeder if you keep it filled, and the backyard becomes a fabulous sledding hill (sleds provided). Fully equipped kitchen opens up into sunny dining room.

This great home is located in the heart of the Southern Berkshires. In the summer, grill outside, enjoy local beaches and forests, bike trails, tennis courts, trout streams, canoe trips -- anything you want to do outdoors, you can do in the Berkshires (except surf on the ocean...)
Music, art, dance and theater are all close to our house --Tanglewood is 20 minutes away, Jacob's Pillow is 30 minutes, Barrington Stage Company, in Pittsfield is 30 minutes, and Stockbridge, with The Berkshire Theater Festival, is fifteen minutes. All year round there are yoga retreats and spas, including Kripalu and Canyon Ranch within a 20 minute drive. Historical homes, antique stores, and museums are everywhere in this beautiful area. And on rainy days, take the kids bowling and to the movies!

We require a damage deposit, refundable within two weeks of the last day of your rental as long as there has been no smoking, no pets and no other major damage. We do not charge for normal wear and tear on the house. In eighteen years of rentals, we have never had to keep any portion of the damage deposit.

MAA lovely cottage conveniently located

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this house this past summer. The space was sufficient for us and was also sufficient when another couple joined us for one of the nights we were there. The location is close enough to Great Barrington to be convenient, but is also quiet and in the midst of a lovely wooded area. We found the drive to Tanglewood and other area attractions very reasonable.
The rooms were well equipped and well laid-out, though we found the beds to be on the firm side for our taste, though that was certainly preferable to the usually squishy mattresses we've slept on in other rental houses.
The owners were extremely attentitive and responsive to all e-mail queries and even called us the night we arrived to check in. Great service.
A really positive stay overall. We'd definitely go back if we were planning a stay for just the two of us again. -

We had a lovely stay in this rental home which was clean and comfortable with a big private backyard and patio where we often liked to eat our breakfast. The house was well equipped with all that we needed for cooking. It was also a very quick and easy commute by car to good restaurants and to to the center of Great Barrington. The appalachian Trail, which we enjoyed, was an easy walk from the house.
My partner enjoyed playing the piano in the dining room. We also had a great time going to nearby Tanglewood for a concert. This is not a house for people who are looking for elegance and high style. It is a great choice and good value, however, for families who who are happy with a nice, well-equipped, and comfortable, home base that has a suburban feel to it. The owners were very gracious and attentive to our needs. Renting this home worked out quite well for us. No complaints. ;-) -

The house is cozy,very well maintained and there was enough room for everyone. The grounds were quite lovely--nice backyard and garden, and the proximity to great Barrington was ideal. The owners really care about their home as well as any requests renters might have.

[These comments were written by a father and his 12 year old daughter.] We love staying at this comfortable home for a week or two every summer, for the past several years. The house has lots of comfortable places where you can sit and read. You can cut flowers from the yard and put them in vases in your rooms. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Great t.v. and wireless internet. Really nice dining room, and those working in the kitchen can visit with those sitting at the dining table. The house has a nice grill. Nice big back yard to play in. The owners are just a phone call away if there are ever any questions or problems. We love the location, just a few minutes to Great Barrington on a quiet road. 5 minute walk to the appalachian Trail for those who like to hike.
