1940's Cabin with fantastic 180o mountain views!!

Located in South Egremont, 3 miles from downtown Great Barrington. This restored cabin is perfectly located to access everything the Berkshires has to offer. The cabin sits high on a hill with commanding 180o unobstructed mountain views. You can see from Mt. Greylock to the north to Canaan Mt. in Ct. to the south & the stone face of Monument Mt. in the mid...dle.

The location is very private & quiet, enjoy all sorts of wildlife, fox, turkey, deer, songbirds & hawks & during the summer months you can enjoy the nightly firefly display!

The cabin has a beautiful cathedral ceiling paneled living room with a huge wood burning fireplace, 2 bedrooms with queen beds a well appointed kitchen & a large screened in porch facing the view. Naturally we provide all your linens, towels, laundry, beach chairs, maps of the area & a list of things to do & see. There is a flat screen TV with DVD & streaming Netflix Movies, wireless internet, Wave CD/radio & cell phone reception.

Although the property offers peace & quiet it is only a 1/2 mile walk into the village which has several fine restaurants a convenience store, Library & P.O..

Great Barrington is only 3 miles to the east & offers all sorts of activities from movies to cultural events, fine dining, gourmet food shopping an excellent hospital & Churches & Temples appealing to all religions.

We are only 12 miles to Tanglewood Music Festival, 10 miles to the Norman Rockwell Museum, 10 miles to the Berkshire Theatre Festival & 5 miles to Sheffield, MA which boasts a parade of fine antique stores & specialty shops along it's Main St., Music Mt. Chamber concerts, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival & the Hancock Shaker Village are all readily accessible.

There are several ski areas within a few miles, Catamount & Butternut Basin are 3 miles away. There is swimming in the crystal clear Green River & there are several lakes nearby. Tennis & a public golf course within walking distance. The Appalachian Trail is 1 mile away, Bash Bish water falls & Mt. Washington State park reserve with gorgeous Echo Lake as well as Race Brook Falls are very close by as well. There are public health clubs if you are planning a longer stay.

Great Barrington, Lenox, Stockbrige W. Stockbridge & Pittsfield are all within an easy drive & offer specialty shopping, theater, museums & many really great restaurants as well as live music at several locations.Berkshire School is a few miles to the south with it's very popular summer music festival.

We are also only a short 12 mile drive to Canyon Ranch Spa & Kripalu Center for Yoga & health.Read more

In order to receive the $225.00 per night fee there is a 3 night minimum stay. If you want to stay less than 3 nights the rate increases to $275.00 for 2 nights & $300.00 for 1 night.
Holidays & the days surrounding holidays are $275.00 per night. If the holiday falls on a Monday the weekend prior to the Monday holiday will be at $275.00 per night.
There is a $39.00 one-time fee required to secure an insurance policy to cover the property against unforeseen damages that might occur in lieu of a security deposit.
For summer, July & August my nightly fee has increased to $250.00 per night, $275.00 on all holidays.

  This cabin was shared by re-uning nearby Berkshire School graduates and was perfect. It had all the needed amenities, WiFi, Hdtv with a dish, beautiful fireplace, nice kitchen, sleep in screened-in porch and best of all great views all times of the day and in all weather. We had from 3 to 5 staying there in two bedrooms, two blow up beds and a mattress on the porch. Shower worked well and had good flow and plenty of hot water.The road in is a little rugged and would be hard to find for the first time after dark. Close to a great breakfast place, a liquor store with a good supply of Bourbon and an over-priced and fairly rudely run restaurant.
