My charming log cabin sits on 100 acres of private land which adjoins 2200 of New York State Forest. It overlooks a small pond which is stocked with bass. You are welcome to catch a few and cook them fresh on the Weber gas grill. The front porch is comfortable with beautiful views of the pond, hills and the valley below.
It is a cozy cabin with a sleeping loft and comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a shower bath. The loft has a double bed and the first floor has a double futon.

My husband and I recently spent an absolutely perfect 4 days in this authentic log cabin. It is beautiful on the inside with every minute detail being just perfect. We have never felt so at home and comfortable and relaxed on a vacation. The outside is also perfect with it views and woods and pond. The front port furniture is fun. Bette makes sure every detail is taken care of and is so charming. We hope to go back every year...I cannot imagine anyone ever being disappointed with this 'little jewel in the woods'.

this little cabin is as quaint as it appears and Ms Hestle was a delightful and respectful host.
the cabin has everything you need and if it doesn't it will be there within a few minutes of asking
we biked on the state forest trails that are right there, it was cold and rainy but the forest is dense enough that you hardly noticed. the trails are groomed to perfection and were ideal for all ages (9,11,and two 40 somethings :) )
take bug spray if it is the season
don't plan on heading out much - just enjoy the quiet and peace and calm, it is a refreshing change from day to day
Our one and only negative would be that the loft bed is only a double, and the futon is quite uncomfortable... neither of these would deter us from returning but we might consider squishing a foamy in the truck with us.
we will return to this cabin for sure
