This "made for entertaining home" has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms on the first floor and 1 bedroom,half bath,and common area downstairs.There is a full kitchen with granite counter tops and everything you need to cook a gourmet dinner.The open kitchen/dinning area allows plenty of room for large g...roups. The home is located on Green Turtle Cay.It is on the eastern side of the island right on the Atantic Ocean.We are minutes from the downtown which has shopping and anything you need for your vacation.Most people get around by golf carts which can be rented.There are numerous restraunts and watering holes on the island.

  You couldn't ask for a better way to spend a week! Bella Mare is beautifully decorated and amazingly appointed with so many of the "basics" that most houses do not have. The owners have done such a good job having all the little extras and gadgets in the kitchen that you could ever want! The beds are very comfortable and the kids loved having the downstairs to themselves! The lounge chairs on the back porch made for a great way to spend an afternoon reading and listening to the ocean. The hot tub is a great place to unwind at the end of the day! The location of Bella Mare on the island is ideal! It's pretty much right in the middle, which makes everything Green Turtle has to offer easily accessible. We started each day with a ride into town to Sid's to pick up a couple loaves of the best coconut bread you'll ever put in your mouth...get there early because they sell out every day!! We loved spending time at the house on the beach letting the kids snorkel and explore the surroundings. Gillam Bay (about a 7 min golf cart ride) is the pefect place to just relax and take in the incredible beauty around you. We enjoyed just floating in the water. Mid-afternoons were spent in town at Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar drinking Goombay Smashes while the kids played basketball with the local children. Some late afternoons were spent at Pineapples watching the sunset and enjoying conch fritters while the kids swam in the pool and others were spent at Bluff House (on the northern end of the island) partaking in their yummy food and drinks! Make sure to stop along the way at Coco Bay and wade in the water finding some of the biggest starfish you will ever lay eyes on! (But don't take them with you!! They love it where they are!!)
  Another "must do" is to have Lincoln Jones take your group fishing and to Mudjack Cay for the day!!! He teaches you how to spear fish and then takes everyone on the boat to Mudjack (a deserted island a little north of Green Turtle) and prepares an amazing feast right on the beach with what you've caught! He shows everyone how to feed the stingrays by taking food right from between your toes! Spend time exploring Mudjack because it's beauty is unsurpassed!
  Finally, make sure to rent a boat for a day or two so that you can easily explore the other islands around Green Turtle! Our favorite way to spend a day on the boat is to ride up to Great Guana Cay...beautiful ride that takes about an hour...Dock at Grabber's and make sure to order a Jolly Bob to refresh yourself and then continue on to Nipper's!! This is my favorite bar in the whole world! It is picture perfect!! There is something for everyone here!! Swimming pools, live music, beautiful beach, hair braiding, yummy food and the best drink in the world...a frozen nipper!
  We return to Bella Mare every chance we get!! In my opinion, it is the best place to stay on Green Turtle. The house is large enough to accomodate many people comfortably, yet cozy enough that it truly feels like you've spent a wonderful week at a great place with the people you love!
