Ivy Bridge Farmhouse is just two miles from the village of Grenagh in County Cork and sleeps four people in two bedrooms and boasts a Jacuzzi bath and open fire. Set in an isolated location, Ivy Bridge Farmhouse just two miles from Grenagh and thirteen miles from Cork City is a fantastic farmhouse. Ivy Bridge Farmhouse has been decorated in a traditional style and been furnished to a high standard. The cosy sitting room has an electric fire, open fire and dining area. The well equipped fitted kitchen has wonderful tiled walls and floor. Ivy Bridge Farmhouse sleeps four and has two bedrooms - one double and one twin. The main feature in the b...athroom is the stunning Jacuzzi bath. A large, lawned garden with patio area, furniture and BBQ is perfect for dining and relaxing after a busy day exploring the area and there is off road parking for four cars. Ivy Bridge Farmhouse is a fabulous base to explore the area with many attractions within a one hours drive. With so much to see and do, you will not want to leave.

Region: County Cork is full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. With unspoilt beaches, historic castles, and modern visitor attractions, there’s plenty for all ages to absorb and there is always plenty to see and do in County Cork.

Town: Situated between Cork City and the town of Mallow is the pretty village of Grenagh. The village has many amenities including a shop, chemist, medical centre, hairdresser's, post office and church. For fishermen, head to Blackwater Valley, which is known as one of the best salmon fishing rivers in Ireland. Just seven miles away is the elegant Blarney Castle, with its rock close, stunning gardens and the famous Stone of Eloquence. For whiskey drinking adults, The Old Middleton Distilllery with the Jameson Heritage Centre is nearby and offers a tour and whiskey tasting session. Within an hours drive from Grenagh is Cobh, a busy town with many attractions, shops and pubs. Cobh was the last port of call for the Titanic. Also in the area is the fantastic FOTA wildlife park. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.   We stayed in this self catering house Sept 2012. The house is lovely and the owner helpful and friendly, as are the dogs! It has the two bedrooms one double and one with a 3/4 size bed and a single. Both very pretty, but the 3/4 bed which I had was not as comfortable as I would have liked. (It could be me!) There is sep shower room and a bathroom so good in that aspect too. The location is ideal for visiting Blarney, Mallow and Cork (not the city I though it would be!) Killarney isn't too far as is the coast. The property was clean and very personal with photos and knick knacks all over it! The downside to it in my opinion, was at the end of your stay you have to pay extra for the central heating and the electricity which the lady keeps track of. You have no way of knowing how much this is until you are met with the amount on leaving. It does say electricity charged extra in the blurb but I thought the central heating was included. I would much rather pay extra for the week at the booking stage than be left with a bill at the end of the holiday. Maybe thats just me!! Overall a pleasant stay in lovely location.
