East Calder, ScotlandModern apartment, great place to stay.
Left on 11/20/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We stayed here with relatives over a long weekend. Daniel met us on arrival and you could not wish for a more helpful or pleasant man. The apartment itself is modern, secure and very well equipped with a good sized kitchen area (we were easily able to cook dinner for 7 after inviting other friends over). There is access to a PC and Wi-Fi and a great sound system. The bedrooms (2) are big and there is a balcony should you stay in the summer. It is located in a quiet but central area with easy access to the tram system but also only a short walk to the main shopping area of Grenoble. The apartment also has underground parking available. Our weekend was great and all the more enjoyable for having a really nice place to stay.

Minneapolis, MNGreat amenities and location
Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We are three friends who shared the apartment. The apartment was very cool and modern, and Daniel was very warm and accommodating. He responded to our questions and issues very quickly. We really liked: the wrap-around balcony, the view, the beds were very comfortable, very close to a tram stop, very close to a grocery store, very close to a beautiful park and shopping/restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook an elaborate meal, including dishwasher for after. We would gladly stay here again!

LivingstonSo good we've booked to stay there again
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Excellent apartment in one of the best areas of Grenoble. An easy stroll into the city centre but with a supermarket, bakery, shopping mall and tram line all within a block away.
The apartment is maintained to a very high standard and has all the facilities you would want. A real plus is the availability of a PC, printer and wi-fi.
It is in on the 5th floor of a residential block which has a high standard of security. There is an offer of a underground garage, which I would recommend people take as parking in Grenoble is a challenge! Don't have too big a car though as it is a tight fit.
The owner Daniel was very welcoming and helpful and explained how everything worked in the apartment. We have absiolutely no hesitation in recommending this rental, and have booked already to stay there again. -

East Greenwich, Rhode Islandbeautiful apartment near the heart of the city
Left on 09/19/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed for a total of 26 days in this beautiful two-bedroom apartment. Daniel keeps the place immaculate, with new furniture, satellite television, designer kitchen and bathroom, and beautiful teak floors and doors. Everything was super-cleaned when we got there. The wraparound terrace on the fifth floor gives you views of the alps and neighborhood on two sides.
Sorry if I'm gushing, but it's really a nice sanctuary in Grenoble, and a pleasant 10 minute walk to the city centre.
Daniel's also a very nice man, and was most accommodating with helping us with our move to Grenoble. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with this place. We've stayed in a lot of apartments in Venice, Florence, Paris, and London, but this is by far the best. -

Brighton, EnglandGreat appartment 15 mins walk from historic centre of Grenoble
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Great service in terms of information on line and in person on our arrival and departure. The photos don't lie: the appartment is modern and immacuately clean yet still feels like a home. There are good views of the mountains from the wrap-round balcony and the whole appartment felt light and airy. Big, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen with space to eat inside and out and a great wetroom with separate toilet made it perfect for a family or couple. I've stayed in plenty of aparthotels for work and leisure and this represents much better value for money for 3 travellers. The surrounding area is very well designed with plenty of shops and places to eat, including an excellent boulangerie. I stayed here with my husband and daughter, partly as a holiday, but mainly to help her settle in for her Erasmus year at Grenoble University. We have travelled extensively in France and Grenoble is probaly the friendliest place we have visited to date. Special thanks to Didier who found us parked and confused trying to locate the appartment on our Googlemap and took the time to go to his appartment to fetch his bicycle and SatNav to show us where to go ..! (If you are coming by car look for signs to Caserne de Bonne.) We hired Daniel's garage but I am sure that the car would have been equally safe on the street, where there are some but not excessive parking charges.

Victoria, BC CANADANew, modern, clean, spacious and well furnished; all in a fantas
Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Truly a great find! We (two adults, a four year old and a baby) stayed there for a week and were impressed in so many ways; some highlights:
-only a few years old and very well maintained
-incredibly spacious & bright bedrooms
-great ammenities (dishwasher, washer, computer, flat screen TV and sound system, wifi, dishes, towels, etc)
-parkade available
-wrap around balcony with nice view of the mountains
-fantastic location; probably the cleanest/nicest part of downtown grenoble and no more than a 20-30min walk from all the town has to offer; plus playgrounds and shopping just around the corner
Only cons I could think of are:
-no air conditioning (not a problem most of the year)
-no bathtub
Nevertheless, I would not hesitate to go back and recommend to friends & family!
Response from daniel - 08/04/2012
Owner
Great thanks to our Guests for spending time in this apartment. We are glad they had nice time there. Additional information related to the pointed cons:
1) no air conditioning (not a problem most of the year).
Comment) Grenoble has in average about 10 to 15 quite hot days in the year, which are not consequentially distributed in July and beginning of August. We took on purpose the decision to not install air conditioning since we do believe it's still possible all of us can win the battle for a green planet. However a portable air conditioning equipment is available for this apartment and can be made accessible upon Guest's request.
2) no bathtub.
Comment) Absolutely correct. We do not have bathtub mentioned in the list of amenities reported through FlipKey or in the apartment website ( residencegrenoble.fr ). Instead the bathroom is equipped with a fully marbled Italian shower, with "Botticino Classico" marble on the walls coming from Veneto region (Italy) and "Marron Imperial" marble on the floor from Spain. However a baby bathtub is available for this apartment and can be made accessible upon Guest's request.
In general we do encourage our Guests to report immediately, during their stay, for any missing accessory, as in most cases we can make them available.
Staying at the full service of our Guests

Alexandria VAGreat apartment and a great deal!
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We spent a wonderful week at this apartment. Daniel is very helpful and we just loved the apartment, especially the terrace! It's a big apartment with a huge terrace along it's whole length, with a great view of the mountains and Bastille. The bathroom is huge and best of all features an american style shower. Everything is very comfortable and convenient. The parking garage is extra but a great deal and extremely secure and handy. The location is very handy with a grocery store a block south and a park and mall a block north with restaurants, Monoprix, drugstore, etc, and it's a 10 minute walk to the old part of Grenoble. All this for far less than a stay in the apartment hotels we were looking at (that were about 1/2 the size!).

Left on 02/13/2012 for a stay in January 2012
I rented this flat for 3 weeks while attending an international residency at Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Janary/February 2012. It was a nice 15 minute walk to school each morning with all the perfect amenities. Two large bedrooms, very stylish and new decor, huge walk-in shower in over-sized bathroom. It had everything you would require from Sat. Tv, beautiful wrap-around balcony, clothes washer, spacious layout, etc. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Grenoble. You will not be dis-appointed!!!

Renting from photo profiles carries a degree of suspense, but all suspense was lifted once my family met Daniel, and we entered our "home" for five days. The apartment offered welcomed space and bright lighting in a modern building that was quite comforting . We welcomed the modern conveniences. The location served us well as we walked everywhere with no complaint . There is a large grocery two blocks away for convenience (though having a list of market schedules for the town would be appreciated; don't want to shop like an american when in France ! ) Daniel was very available and accommodating in all realms of business and our well-being.
We were thankful for the cleanliness, the wifi, the lights, the space, the security of the building and the 5th floor views ! Merci beaucoup, Daniel

MinneapolisExcellent long- or short term accomodation
Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Stayed 1 month in Grenoble to visit the university. 3 year old son and wife stayed with me for 1 week. Found the place online. My local contact acknowledged that this was far superior to everything they usually use but also a better value for the price (it is more expensive than a generic midterm stay furnished apartment accommodation). Location is optimal, 15min walk from the train station, 10min from the center (shopping, restaurants, bastille, museums). At <3min walk, supermarkets (Intermarche,Monoprix), brandnew shopping mall, bakeries, cafes and restaurants, a gas station for the urgent off-hour needs. When we needed Ibuprofen on a Sunday night, we found two pharmacies on duty within 5min walk. There's a nice little pond with seating, a square with pretty fountains, a terrific playground, all within 3min walk. Still, the neighborhood is quiet at night and feels perfectly safe. As almost everywhere in France, most people will like to keep the windows shut to avoid noise at night -the apartment then is absolutely quiet due to new windows and good insulation.
The building is new (I am guessing <5years) with all amenities, garage, bike storage (the city rents bikes for 3 Euro/day, 20 Euros/month!, including child seat, helmet, basket). The apartment is on the (American count) 6th floor with gorgeous views of the city, bastille, and mountains (Chartreuse in the north, Belledonne in the east, Vercors in the west). In fact, there's large windows for views from all rooms and a walk around the apartment (East/South), balcony facing east (watch little kids outside, however!). Inside, top equipment, pleasant mix of new/antique furniture, kitchen for the hobby chef, new bed/mattress, deluxe bath, fast wireless, PC, TV, satellite. I just cannot think of anything that should be in the apartment for my convenience that was not already there.
Owner exceedingly responsive and helpful without being controlling. If you can afford a somewhat nicer place, take this one. -

We have loved staying in Daniel's apartment and feel like it is home away from home. Great facilities and very clean and modern. The location is great and you can walk to most places of interest or catch the local tram. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and looking at the mountains from the large balcony is gorgeous.
After staying in a tiny apartment in Monmartre Paris this apartment is amazing value for money.
Ewe had excellent service from Daniel upon arrival and were shown around the apartment and how to use everything.
We would highly recommend the apartment for your stay in Grenoble.
Thanks Daniel -

Perfect with small things put in place.
Breadboad:
A brand new breadboard has just been re-furnished into this residencegrenoble.fr apartment. This has been the 5th in the last 7 months: the others having been damaged by guests into dish-washing machine.
The following small things have been added:
Oven glove, balcony carpet, garlic squeezer.
They were missing. Many thank to my guest to have highlighted that.
Bath towels:
Two towels per guest are always provided (as it has been in this occasion). Additional towels are available on demand.
We care of our guests, respect them and their suggestions as we feel service minded. We hope serve you again in the near future.
