During the day you’ll want to explore hill towns, wineries, castles or take a daytrip into Siena, Florence and Arezzo. In the late afternoon, you’ll love returning to this farmhouse for rent in Tuscany to take a dip in the pool or play a game of tennis. With so much adventure within easy reach, you may never want to leave beautiful Tuscany.
This renovated Tuscan farmhouse is surrounded by olives groves, vineyards and oak trees. A private swimming pool [6m x 12m] lined with olive trees overlooks the valley. There... is an all-weather tennis court and a billiard room in a separate gazebo in the garden. Enjoy the covered loggia with panoramic views and a jasmine-covered pergola for al fresco dining with table for 8 people. There is garden furniture and an outdoor parking place available.
[200 m2] Due to its location, this villa has been built on several levels.
Ground floor: There is a large, comfortable living room with original Tuscan terracotta tiled floors, oak-beamed ceilings and an open stone fireplace. There are several couches and armchairs along with a TV. An archway leads to a second living area with a couch and two armchairs. Six steps down bring guests to a kitchen with pale blue wood beams and an open fireplace, featuring a gas range, oven, dishwasher and a table with seating for eight people. All of these three rooms have direct access to the garden.
Mezzanine floor: Going up four steps from the ground floor is a beautiful dining room with oak table seating up to 12 people. The dining room has direct access to the loggia. The master bedroom has a 160 cm queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a double sink, WC and bathtub.
First floor: A short staircase of six stone steps leads up to the first floor where 3 bedrooms are located. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a sink, WC and shower. The second bedroom has a 160 cm queen-size bed. The third bedroom has a 90 cm single bed with an additional 90 cm roll-away bed [suitable for children]. There is a separate bathroom with a sink, WC and shower.
This Tuscany farmhouse rental is located on the top of a hill, in the Chianti Classico wine area of Italy. Olive groves and vineyards owned by the family surround the farmhouse. To get to the farmhouse, guests will need to drive along a winding unpaved road [3.5 km from the SS 222] that leads up through the woods. There is a remote-controlled gate to access the property. Nearby Greve is a little town with a charming market square lined with porticos, the oldest part of the city from when it operated as a stopping place between Florence and Siena. It also has an art museum in the former convent of San Francesco. The area surrounding Greve is littered with picturesque villages, great for exploration, and there are also numerous castelli in the countryside that host wine tasting. The countryside surrounding Greve is also an excellent place to go walking, horseback riding, and bicycling. There is the tiny walled medieval hamlet of Montefioralle, birthplace of Amerigo Vespucci. The hamlet is perched on a hill overlooking the town of Greve in Chianti. You can find a restaurant and the church of Santo Stefano in Montefioralle. Radda is a characteristic medieval village, centered about the 14th century church of San Nicolo and the Palazzo Pretorio. Just outside this village, wine lovers will find the Chianti Classico consortium headquarters. The surrounding area is filled with similar medieval villages, each with their own special character and hidden jewels. Of course you also have, within day-trip distance, the magnificent cities of Siena, Florence and Arezzo.

* This farmhouse has bug screens on every bedroom window.
The views were gorgeous from every window and the grounds were well kept with a very nice pool and tennis court. It was a really nice property.
The drive up to the villa was really quite frightening.
It was unpaved, highly rutted, and in three places very steep with some hairpin turns. I found it the only complaint I had about the villa.
There were very nice small towns to explore,with both small castles and churches. The area had beautiful landscapes in every direction.
