Modern clean accommodation in a lovely setting.

The accommodation was very modern looking and extremely well furnished with a very practical kitchen area. The lodge was located some 8 miles from the main Penrith to Keswick road. The only drawback with the lodges location was the lack of amenities within walking distance and if a public house would of been nearby it would of received a 4 star rating. Read more

Lovely place but a few small things let it down - wish the heating & hot water had been put on before we arrived, was very cold & had to wait several hours for heat & hot water. Bin lid was broken, no oven gloves, no hand towels & only 1 tea towel, lots of crumbs under sofas & TV on it's way out - funny colour! Terrible mattress gave us both back ache. But great place overall!

The lodge was all it was advertised as, and more. Very secluded, but with easy access to Penrith and the Lakes. A bit of a trek (8 miles) to get a morning newspaper, but we could have done without. Had lovely pond outside the door. Warm, cosy, clean, spacious with room for 4 easily. Kitchen worked well, as did laundry facilities. No notice of when rubbish is collected by Council.
A lovely location but almost marred by lack of pre-arrival care

A very good place to spend a few days; isolated (so you have to be prepared to do without mobile links, shops and other luxuries)with comfortable furniture and generally a good level of equipment. And there are 3 red squirrels that entertain you just outside twice every day.
The owners need to pay more attention to detail in the way that the lodge was prepared for us, e.g. a broken toilet seat and a smoke alarm that would not stop bleeping - but these were sorted out after I had gone 2 miles to get a mobile signal and phoned the office, even though it was late Friday. And directions to use appliances were all in different places so it took ages to find those for the oven. Overall a delightful break
Fab,accommodation ,clean and fully equipped .

We had a fantastic week in a beautiful location, really enjoyed the red squirrels and woodpeckers. We found the location ideal for nipping in to any part of the lakes and recommend the 3 pubs all within 3 miles.
