Sunset Inn is comprised of three beautiful vacation cabins, located just 2 miles from Yosemite, at the Big Oak Flat west entrance. We are situated on the edge of a peaceful, private meadow, surrounded by ancient forest.

Rustic exteriors on all three cabins give way to beautifully remodeled, clean, well appointed interiors. All 3 cabins offer plush beds, equipped kitchens, private bathrooms, and sun porch.

The kitchens are complete with a four burner stove top, toaster oven or range oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, & coffee grinder, as well as pots and pans, dishes, utensils, dish soap, even coffee and tea to prepare as you like.... You will also find a dining table or counter with seating, and either an easy chair or rocking chair in each cabin.

Each cabin has a patio area with a charcoal barbecue grill. A picnic table in our idyllic meadow is available for your use.

Wi/Fi internet is available free of charge to connect to your laptop. Each cabin also has a clock radio, CD player, or MP3 player. A telephone is also available on the premises. Cell phone reception is good at many areas in Yosemite, but not usually at Sunset Inn.

In addition to the great outdoors, which is literally out-your-door, for entertainment each cabin has a game cupboard with playing cards, board games, and puzzles, as well as magazines, local literature, books and park information.

For those young at heart, Sunset Inn offers a swing, sand box, frog pond, and farmyard chickens. When they are 'in the mood' they supply us with delicious fresh eggs that we are happy to share!

  We booked our five night stay at Sunset Inn on the recommendation of our daughter who stayed there four years ago as part of her honeymoon trip. The advice was excellent - Sunset Inn is an absolutely idyllic valley, only two miles outside the entrance to Yosemite.
  The booking process was very easy and the information that the owners, Lauren and Bill, sent us was so useful. The directions were excellent and the advice about shopping was particularly invaluable and meant that we picked up our provisions for the entire stay on the way.
  Sugar Pine Cabin was so comfortable and well equipped that we enjoyed cooking our meals and spending cosy evenings in the cabin. Though it was cold and snowy during our stay, we were lovely and warm with the very efficient (and very easy to light) wood-burning stove.
  Lauren and Bill were so kind and helpful and gave us lots of suggestions about hiking trails and places to see. We were particularly grateful for their recommendation to visit Hetch Hetchy Valley, where we spent a truly memorable day.
  Sunset Inn is a very special place, peaceful calm and very beautiful, and it provides a wonderful base from which to explore the wonders of Yosemite.

  Absolutely love this place we will definitely be returning again and again and again its so cozy and serene and there is a beautiful black lab that welcomes you as you drive up the long driveway its so inviting and Bill and Lauren are super nice you will definitely enjoy your stay at this beautiful untouched and unpolluted Cabin.

  Tranquil, idyllic setting for a trip to Yosemite.

  We rented the delightful Larkspur cabin for two nights. Set in peaceful woodland, it had everything we needed for a restful stay after hiking in Yosemite. The owners not only had thought of everything for the kitchen - including eco-friendly washing-up liquid and cloths (the sort of thing you have so often to provide yourself) - but also hand-made soap in the bathroom.
