Alternative to hotel/motel at a good price

Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We were happy to stay 2 nights at this home, which, at an hour away from Yosemite is still one of the closest location (Groveland) other than inside the park. The house was in good condition and it met our requirements. I suppose because the price is right, one should not complain about the fact that it did not include linens. We got linens and towels for 4 for an additional $100.00 as offered by the real estate agency. Additional fees to the Home Owners Association, etc., did not make this as much of a bargain as first expected, but, if it can be afforded, it was worth the overal cost.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We only had 4 days here, but absolutely loved Pine Mountain Lake and we'll be back again for sure. The house was very nice and comfortable, and we would certainly recommend it to others.

      Nice little mountain house!!

Left on 08/10/2011 for a stay in July 2011

I was very happy with this house. It was clean and in a quiet location. I wish it has central AC though. Took a little long for property manager to get back to me about the late check-ins process (left message 2 times and emailed 1 time). Overall, I love Pine Mountain Lake and will come here every time I go to Yosemite :)

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and well maintained. The management was vey professional and helpful.
The cleaning costs seemed high compared with other vacation rentals and PML charges additional for sheets and towels.

Clean, well-priced and comfortable home, with two bedrooms, one

Left on 06/13/2010 for a stay in June 2010

We stayed 6 nights, and were about an hour and twenty minutes from Yosemite. We were told it was about an hour from the park, but it takes actually takes longer. The cabin was very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable, compared with others I had researched. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, and although I brought a lot of pans, knives, etc., I didn't need to use them. The swamp cooler was plenty cool for the time of year. We actually had to use the heaters on one morning. There was a large grill outside, but since I don't own one, I didn't use it. It was fun to have dinner outside on the deck. We had a great time there, and I would rent it again. The only thing we didn't like was having to drive through the main access gate and drive through all the Pine Mountain Lake properties to get to our condo, instead of accessing it from the top gate in the complex. It made the drive about 4-5 miles instead of 2.

Perfect cabin for a family of 4. I like the way it was set off from the main road. We enjoyed our visits to Yosemite and our time on the lake.

This lovely property was very well kept and perfect for a maxim

Left on 08/05/2009 for a stay in August 2009

but did nothing for the bedrooms. After the first night, my husband and I had to move to sleeping on the pull out couch because the bedrooms were just too hot. The rental agent had told me about the swamp cooler but said it should be sufficient. This was curious as the weather really wasn't that hot (in the high 80's when we stayed). The only other detraction was that there were very few kitchen supplies such as spices to cook with and the selection of pots, pans, bowls was very limited. Overall it is a lovely cabin which is very clean and well furnished.

We loved staying in the little cabin in December and would rent

Left on 01/14/2009 for a stay in December 2008

The propane fireplace isn't as nice as having a real fire, though it kept us warm. Next time I'll remember to bring kitchen towels and paper towels! The driveway was a little steep, but fortunately it was not icy. We had stayed in a lakefront cabin in 2005 and had real problems with the ice and snow.
Thanks Lori for trying to find the sheets. I think they ended up in your dumpster--mistaken as trash.

      The house was cute...

Left on 06/24/2008 for a stay in June 2008

The house was cute and the people we met at the pool were very nice. Could definately use ceiling fans in the bedrooms! The pull out couch was also in need of a new mattress. Also it would be great to have temporary gate cards to enter at all the gates - it was frustrating to have to loop around everytime we went out. The reservation fee on the contract should have a $ amount and be more clearly stated. It is not clear at all.
