Really nice house! Very cozy! We stayed here for two nights when my family was visiting Yosemite. They have books to read, movies to watch, toys for kids to play. We saw some deers roaming in the backyard around early morning. It was a fun stay. :)

Martinez, CA, United StatesGreat Place for a Family
Left on 09/25/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed over Labor Day weekend. We are a family of five that includes three young children under the age of 7. This was the best equipped home rental we've stayed in. There were legos and videos for the kids, DVRs, and pretty much any kitchen appliance you need. The kids loved watching the deer right outside the house - there were a lot of deer every where. The community pool is nice as are the surrounding ammenities of the lake and playground area. We really liked the downstairs area with the separate living area and foosball table, but we would have used it more if it was connected internally. This is a great set up if staying with multiple families or couples who would like a little more privacy. But with a young family, we needed to accompany the kids up and down to this area. We liked it so much we extended our stay by a day.

Sydney, NSW, AustraliaComfortable & convenient stay
Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The property was very clean and had everything and more in the kitchen - from sandwich bags to a giant pepper grinder! So no need to pack your own salt & pepper! Only thing is there was a strange rotting smell, (maybe a hidden dead rodent?) when we first arrived, we had to air out the house repeatedly the first couple of days, after that it disappeared. The beds were comfy, and the giant fools-ball table was a lot of fun! It is a bit of a drive to get to Yosemite Trial head, around 1.25 hours, but not impossible to fit a big day in. We managed to do a day climb to Clouds rest, up at 4:30am and got back around 10pm. Overall, good value and definitely would stay again!

Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We really liked the house and the community. The house had a great deck; we ate most of our meals there and watched the deer wander through the yard in the mornings and evenings. The DVR was a nice bonus (record programs and watch them when you return from Yosemite or the lake). Kids loved the foosball table. Overall, the house was comfortable and well appointed with everything one could want in a kitchen, along with some good books and movies in case you forgot yours. The only negatives: the outside stairs and deck were a bit dirty (but it's the mountains), it's a drive to Yosemite Valley (1 hour plus), and I hated all the add-on fees, especially having to pay $30 for the family to play tennis (each day), which I thought would be included in the community fees. Guess not. Super rental staff and Groveland is a wonderful little community.

Our family felt right at home. Very clean & had everything we needed. While we ate outside on the deck, deer wondered on the property & stayed to graze- it was awesome! Quiet neighborhood, easy drive to Yosemite.

Left on 11/29/2011 for a stay in November 2011
This was our second time staying at this location. Amenities are great (full kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, plenty of books and board games for the family). The place had not been kept up as there were many spiders and cobwebbs - enough to notice but not enough to not have us return. We had a great stay.

Santa Clara, CaIts not a 3 bedroom Cabin
Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in August 2011
this is a 2 level house with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bath on the upper level. The lower level has just one room - no bath/toilet and the stairway is outside. The lower level wasn't maintained at all. There were a lot of bugs and dust in the lower level. I wanted a 3-bedroom place and that's why I booked this. But I ended up not using the lower level. Luckily, my friends who were supposed to join me and occupy the 3rd room didn't make it. If they had joined us, I probably would slept on the couch in the living room and asked them to take the bedroom at the upper level.

We are very sorry that the rental property was not what you expected, But we also want to correct some errors in your description of the property. The “Overview” of the Property does note that there is a private entrance to the downstairs room. Many of our renters have found the space private and comfortable (400 square feet plus) because it has a double bed (futon/couch) and a single bed as well as a table, chairs, desk, CD player, TV and Foosball table. It does have a two room bathroom, one with a sink and closet and the other with a shower (no bathtub) and toilet. You stated there was a problem with dust and bugs; we have not experienced this complaint from prior guests this year. We always appreciate feedback on the property and make every effort to address any problems.

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Overall I really enjoyed the house. The way it is set-up, with two floors and two separate entries, makes it ideal for groups that may have members that are a bit louder (stick them on the lower level). House has a great deck area that is mostly shaded
during the day. For a vacation rental the house had everything you could need. The property is well maintained and everything worked. Unfortunately we did not get down to the lake, but there appeared to be nice facilities. If I get a chance to visit the area
again I will definitely choose this house. Well worth the price I paid. -

Berkeley, CANice, recently renovated cabin
Left on 11/13/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The cabin is in a much better shape than what one could think based on the photos. Extremely good value for money. Only downside is that the cabin is located in a gated community with ridiculously strict rules. For example, skaboarding, scooters, kitesurfing etc. are forbidden. There is a dress code to tennis courts. There is even a curfew that starts at 10pm! All these rules do not make one feel welcome nor safe. Has there been some trouble in the in the past? Crime? There must have been some reason why such strict rules were set in the first place...

I have no negative to comment & is a clean, safe, good kitchen setup. Would recommend my friends to that place. But one suggestion to change the method of key locker setup if arrived after 5pm. Little bit tricky in unlocking the mailbox for the keys.

We had a great time in Groveland. The property was nice and clean and had the amenities as described. We had an issue where we unfortunately locked us self out of the basement, but we received great help from the management to solve the situation.

This house was exactly what we had hoped and more. There was plenty of comfortable furniture, many extras were provided - fans, games, laundry baskets, ironing board, lawn chairs - and the decorations were adorable. The kitchen was completely equipped with everything we needed. We can't wait to go back and stay again.

Santa Rosa, CaVery Nice
Left on 12/03/2008 for a stay in November 2008
We had a very nice stay. All things went very well and we will be coming back. The only comment, and I know that this is not something easily addressed, was that it would have been nice if there was an interior set of stairs between the bonus room and the rest of the house. However, other than that minor concern it was wonderful.

The lighting on the front stairway is poor. I'm afraid that, someday, someone will trip on the single step in the very middle.
Also--it would have been great to have an intercom between the two floors.
We loved the house--it was perfect for us. -
