The futon needs to be replaced with a new one or with real sofa. It was VERY uncomfortable to even sit on. -

Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The property was very easy to get to. It was only about 20 minutes outside of the Yosemite gate. It has it's own lake & an awesome pool. We saw tons of deer with their babies so it was a nice get-a-way from the city life. FYI there's hardly any cell phone service, so make sure that you can be cell phone and computer free while you're staying there.

House is very old, many basic items were missing: detergent, bath air spray and toilet paper. Oudoor furnuture was very dirty and took some time to make it clean to be able eat outside. Cleaning linens and towels seems un-reasonable since check out at 11:00 , so we were wake up early at 8:00 t owash and get them dry. BBQ was OK, but cleaning equioment for BBQ was very dirty !

The rental house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It was hard to find in the dark but we managed. Some pots had handles that were about to fall off. Sturdier cookware would have been nice, but not bad for a rental.

Copperopolis, CA, United StatesCopperopolis review of PML/Re/Max property
Left on 05/22/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; though were surprised that we paid a $60 cleaning deposit, yet were responsible for washing, folding and returning all linens and towels ~ disposing of trash ~ washing all dishes & glassware used...etc., etc. Seems that we'd either pay a cleaning fee to cover these items; or opt to have that waived and clean ourselves; as we did. But to pay and be responsible for everything other than sanitizing and vaccuming seemed odd.

Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our family took a 2 week trip from Seattle to Phoenix. We were going to be at Yosemite one week into the trip and would need a place to do our laundry. (Each of us only had a duffel bag or small carry on of clothes for 2 weeks! We discovered you really don't need as many as you think!) I found this very affordable rental home with a washer and dryer so close to Yosemite National Park I couldn't resist! I reserved it early for 2 nights in July. We had grandma and grandpa, 12 and 8 year olds, hubby and myself.
The ladies at the Remax office were extremely friendly, as I probably called them 4 times with questions about using the linens, the washer and dryer, etc. before we arrived. It was easy to stop and get the key upon arrival in Groveland and even easier to drop off when leaving.
We were very pleased with the house. It had a great deck and yard for playing hide and seek. We went to the pool the day of arrival. Pine Mountain Lake was very nice and secluded. Watch out for the deer! There were deer everywhere.
We only stayed the 2 nights, but it would have been nice to have stayed longer. We spent the one entire day in Yosemite. It was about a 30 minute drive to get to Yosemite, but another 45 minutes to get to the Valley to park our car to ride the shuttles. We got up really early (6 am) and were parked in the valley by 8 am. No traffic problems at that time!
The house was great, but I found out I like my sheets and towels white or at least lighter colors. Everything was clean in the house, but the towels were mostly dark and rough. When you are somewhere strange, dark colors appear to be "dirty" even when they are not. Plus, it makes it hard to wash the few lighter towels and the dark ones before you check out because it means 2 loads, instead of one. (If you use their linens, they must be washed upon check out.) That's a picky complaint for such an affordable place, but it mattered to us.
The next time we go to Yosemite, we are going to stay in Yosemite though due to the traffic problems in Yosemite. It was easy to get in to the park, but quite difficult to leave at a reasonable time. Traffic was Sooo backed up when we left. We should have just hung out in the park until dark to have saved us time in traffic.
Overall, it was an affordable stop for visiting Yosemite. We got groceries at the nearby store and fixed a spaghetti dinner the one night after Yosemite. The washer and dryer were great as well as the dishwasher. The sleeper bed in the living room was fine for my 2 children, but no one over the age of 12 would be comfy on it. Our bed was comfy and bathrooms clean. -

A little bit far away from the main gate, but overall good home to spend a couple of days while visiting Yosemite. The big plus for us was that we didn't need to bring our own linens and towels.

I got a rental house, sleep 6 for 100$/night. Plus all the fees it went up to 345$ for 2 nights. That's not too bad for the clean, spacious house. But again, if I can stay longer, it will be cheaper per night. The location is about 30, 40 min away from Big Oak entrance. In general, i'm happy with the rental. Will recommend it for my friends

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. Everything was clean and in good working order. It is a bit small but was fine for a family of four. PML is a very big community and the houses are close to each other, so don't expect an escape into the wilderness.

Left on 06/25/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The house was nice and Pine Mountain Lake is a lovely community.
We were visited by A female bear with cubs on two of the three nights we stayed there. There was no place to store the outdoor trash which would keep it away from the bears. I'm sure the owner will come up with a solution. The bears made quite a mess but did provide us with some excitment in the middle of the night.
We hope to stay at this house again. -

We needed a place to stay for a May weekend visit to Yosemite. This property, a two bedroom, two bath home, worked well for our party of five, ranging from my husband and I, our daughter and son-in-law, and two-year-old granddaughter. The property is spacious and if the weather had been warmer, we would have spent more time outside on the expansive lawn.

Booking one of these places is much better choice for us when we go to Yosemite in a group of 5 people than any other motel around. Comparable price but more comfort and it's clean and nice place to rest.

Left on 11/10/2008 for a stay in October 2008
The kitchen in this house needs a good cleaning. The cabinet doors and drawer fronts were very sticky. The first few dishes we tried to use were dirty and sticky. Ditto the glassware. Much of the silverware was dirty or food-encrusted. So, one of the first things I did was wash dishes (including all the silverware and the silverware tray). The house was pretty dusty with cobwebs here and there--it appeared it hadn't been occupied in a while. Otherwise, everything was clean, well maintained (except the fireplace didn't work), well-equiped and comfortable (well, except for that futon). It's been 2-1/2 weeks since we vacated and Yosemite Vacations still hasn't refunded our deposit. Not acceptable.

We had a great time and always enjoy going to the Groveland/Yosemite area. The only down side is that we do prefer the south side of PML because of the pines. But we booked late and the property was satisfactory none the less.
