We (My family and two others) stayed with the Kids. As this being the first experience for Kids, they thoroughly enjoyed the stay here, went to the Pine Lakes and Beach, Play Area, etc. Good for the price!

This house provided a fine jumping off point for a quick weekend getaway in the summer. The house was clean, and it allowed us to bring our dog which was why we picked it. It also had a lovely view and good proximity to the tennis courts. Other than that, though, it was disappointing. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, particularly the upstairs guest room - those mattresses appeared to be at least 30 years old and offered absolutely no support. They also both felt a bit damp to the touch, which was gross. The windows were single paned, so even on a relatively warm spring evening (low of 40) the bedrooms were rather chilly despite the heater being on. The driveway was incredibly steep - was okay given the road was dry, but we would not have wanted to drive on that on snow or ice (or probably even much rain). Overall it fit the bill for a cheap last-minute rental that allowed us to bring our dog on a spontaneous trip, but I would not recommend this for more than 2-4 people, for anyone planning on using the downstairs bedroom, or for the wintertime (given the driveway).

Excellent cabin for the money. Very clean, comfortable furniture, great deck. The driveway is a bit steep, wasn't a problem for our light coupe, but if someone had an under-powered, weighted-down van or something they might have problems if it's wet or icy in winter. That is literally the only thing to be warned of though, I'd definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here! Woke up in the morning with a few deer resting in the shade of a tree outside our bedroom window. This place is great for the price. No, it's not a Ritz Carlton. And if you want a brand new state-of-the-art log cabin with cute decor, this is not that either. However, if you're looking for a lower-cost, clean, safe place to spend some quality time in the beautiful Sierras/Yosemite region, this place is perfect. Everything was exactly as advertised. It's a slightly older, but very clean property in a beautiful mountain lake neighborhood. As long as you're not super high-maintenance or coming up from Beverly Hills with absurd expectations, you'll love your stay here as much as we did.

The cabin was clean and in decent shape, but the mattresses were soft for our tastes. A couple minor issues discovered upon check in were resolved in a timely and professional way. Pine Mtn Lake is a great vacation spot. We intend to return.

I would recommend it only to 4 people to stay, not more....there was a missing glass in the window in one of the bedrooms so anybody could get inside the house any time....very basic but functional equpment, not too cozy but a 2 to 4 memeber family could warm it up....very steep entry driveway! only for good cars and dry weather! otherwise quiet, beautiful close lake views from the cabin....I might prefer next time a cosier place but it was a good price!

We were looking for a place to relax near Yosemite. We had been on the road for 2 weeks. The house was pretty clean but old, the mattresses and pillows need to be replaced especially in the upstairs guest room. They were stained and sunk in the middle. The downstairs guest room is not suitable for children as it doesn't have inside access. The house was way too hot for July with the swamp cooler. Some kind of updated system is needed. The dish drainer was filthy but the house had plenty of dishes. We would've appreciated some info in the house for the use/hours of the beach and pool, garbage. It was confusing. The grill tank was empty and it was replaced and the garbage can emptied as soon as we suited our needs for the dates, the store just outside the complex was great for groceries. We wouldn't use this house again but it wasn't a bad experience.

If you're looking for a bargain - this is the place for you. The per/night rate can't be beat. -

The house was dirty (the owners didn't bother to inform the property that they stayed there during the week). The house needs a TLC and the AC system must be re-done: it's located in the smallest bedroom of the house and since the AC had to be on at most times, that room was almost useless. The Property Management is great and responded to our needs right away. Garbage was cleaned within 30 minutes of our call.

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was very peaceful and lots of wildlife to see. We would love to come back. The only thing people should know is that the house is hot during the day. The air condition had to work very hard. Thats the only negative thing I could ever say about this place... Loved the stay, loved the house, loved the neighborhood. We will definitely be back

Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in June 2010
This property was advertised as a 3 bed, 2 bath. It wasn't made clear that one bed and bath are not accessible except by an outdoor entry. Having small children with us, that basically made that unusable for us. The place didn't look like it had been freshly cleaned. Webs in the window sills. Deck with leaves/debris all over it. Garbage sitting out front and recycling in the downstairs bedroom. Also, a dishwasher is absolutely necessary in a rental. We've rented a fair amount of vacation rentals and this was definitely not up to our standards. On the bright side, the pool at the golf course was nice.

The property managers were wonderful and we enjoyed our trip to Groveland/Yosemite. The property was comfortable but needed some TLC. The wood stove/heater did not work nor did the dryer, or the ceiling fan in the bedroom. With a family we missed having a dishwasher. We will definately be back to Groveland for another visit this spring, but we will spend a few dollars more to upgrade to a newer/better equipped property.

Had a nice time in Groveland. The house was great as we pretty much only slept there. Nice lake play/swim area not far from house. End of season probably not the best time to expect a super clean place. Worked out great for my needs. Didn't have to tent it at my Dad's house that is just up the road!

We had some set backs on our trip that were out of anyones control such as the fire in yosemite blocked our road to enter so we had to travel 2 hours to get in. The rock slides on the second day was a natures calling so it would have been nice if the house was what it said it was and if it was at least clean. I was blessed to be with my wonderful friends so when all else fails you always have those you love. Pine Mountain Realty was very nice thank you. BeLinda

Left on 06/26/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The location was wonderful. I feel that the property at $120/night was fair for the price, however I would recommend spending a little more for a more upgraded property. I did think the ad misrepresented that one of the bedrooms was actually a separate space under the house and inaccessible from inside of the main house. Cookware etc. was barely adequate.
I was especially disappointed that although check-in is at 4pm (and we arrived at 3:30 Sunday afternoon after a very long drive) the rental office was closed and no instructions were supplied to us concerning accessing the house. We were forced to pay for a long distance call (no cell service) to the emergency # posted on the window. The property manager knew we were scheduled to come that day and I feel very strongly that they were obligated to be there and available.
After spending a long day in the park, and after feeling so lukewarm about the property, we elected to forfeit our last night and move on a day early to the Lake Tahoe area. We wished we could have found the house comfortable enough to stay for a day of R&R;. -

This home was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Deer visited the front yard daily, and the location was very quiet. We enjoyed the nearby lake, and the kids had fun on the water trampoline at the main beach. The property manager was very helpful and accommodating, and was available when we had questions about local activities. There was some construction on the road to the house on weekdays, but we only had short delays. For the price, we definitely could not have found a better deal in the area!

Santa Cruz, CA, United StatesSome stuff didn't work!
Left on 05/26/2009 for a stay in May 2009
The bottom bedroom is inaccessible from the top...you have to go outside and down to use it. There is a strange and spooky "mountain" of dirt behind a door in that room. It leads to the underside of the house and is a hazard at best. The fan in the bedroom upstairs did not work, neither did the DVD player. The deck is very nice. The beds are not. There was a container of old eggs on the counter!
