Ventura, Ca, United StatesPine Mountain Rentals is OUTSTANDING.., A+ all the way!!!
Left on 04/21/2013 for a stay in April 2013
From initial booking to checkout, Rebecca and Tory were absolutely outstanding! They were both very accommodating to our specific needs and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were not able to check in on the expected date. However, Rebecca immediately offered to extend the reservation by one night to ensure that we received our money's worth. We had a wonderful time in a very beautiful setting, and will definitely use Pine Mountain Custom Rentals again if given the opportunity! Thanks again!!

Left on 08/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Home was very clean, quite, and had everything we needed. Location was a bit too far from the main gate, especially looking for it at night otherwise the property was nice. Great alternative to staying in Yosemite which is about an hour away.

Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The house is in very good condition and well kept up. The ping pong table downstairs is in good shape and was a good addition. The kitchen had one pot and a lot of pans (good enough).
Bring your own salt and spices.
The only negative is the Rental Company pricing scheme: a $430 rental ended up at $700+ due to things that should be included in the advertised price; cleaning, sheets & towels, car passes.Response from Pine Mountain Custom Rentals - 07/31/2012

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The property management folks were very friendly and professional. The house was very clean and the linens provided were quality. I would say that the pots and pans could be improved upon....they were limited and not in the best condition. Plentiful dishes and cups. The locations was superb...just a short walk to the lake. Beautiful surroundings....nice quiet area/neighbors. Overall experience was very positive...would definitely return!!!!

San Francisco, CA, United StatesPerfect for a family with little kids
Left on 06/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Wonderful stay - very close to Lodge Beach - perfect  for the little kids.
air conditioning worked well, never ran out of hot water, all appliances worked. Small issue in the kitchen -the lower cabinets with cookware had some greasy looking shelves and the frying pans not very good.
Plenty of tea/coffee cups and bowls, plates of different sizes. Enough silverware and even some large carving knives. dish towels were provided.
enough toiletries.
The master bedroom shower door didn't close properly, but the management took notes.  The bedrooms were very spacious and mattresses comfortable. There was a weak but persistent scent in the kids' bedroom. The mattresses seemed new and clean, we couldn't figure out the source. The bunk beds are IKEA brand and could use some maintenance - the ladder was no longer properly  attached to one of the beds, but management took notes.
The terrace had  hatched roof, two recliners and two folding chairs plus a large wooden picnic table and Weber charcoal grill available.
The main terrace was solid, the back leading to the bedroom windows seemed rickety.
Nice and large paved area in front of the garage was shady enough to park our car and enough room was left for the kids to ride their bikes.
We saw deer, quail and squirrels from our porch. Drive to Yosemite and enjoyed the museum, library, eating out and learning more Gold Rush history at Groveland.
Overall, we had a great stay at this cabin and would love to visit again!
Many thanks to the management company :) -

Denton, TX, United StatesVacation Started Rough, but Turned out OK.
Left on 06/26/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We flew into SFO from Texas and chose to make the 3 hr drive out to Pine Mountian where we would stay in a cabin planning visit Yosemite. Our flight was delayed 4 hrs, and we ended up getting to PM around 10 pm. The late check in would have worked out great, except that the deck on the cabin we were assigned was being repaired, and there no way to get into the cabin. After a 15 min drive back to town, the management comapny apologized for the mix-up and gave us the keys to a new cabin. The second cabin only had a King bed and since you have to bring your own sheets, our queen sheets would not work. After another trip back we were given a third cabin, which to their credit was a huge upgrade and worked out very nicely. If you are going to rent from PMC, look closely at the cabins as there are nicer ones, and others that are not. The area was beautiful, but realize that Pine Mountian is a huge crowded development packed with vacation homes. The fact that they don't provide towels and sheets was a huge negative as we were coming from out of town and had to figure out how to pack them in our luggage. The good is that it was a manageable 30-45 minute drive to Yosemite, Groveland was a nice little town (with bars, restaurants, and a grocery store), and it was easy to find availability.

Turlock, CA, United StatesPine Mountain Lake Cabin
Left on 12/06/2011 for a stay in December 2011
The cabin was very clean and in a great location. Plenty of parking and close to the Pine Mountain Lake Lodge. The kitchen was clean but lacking coffee filters, dish towels, pot holders, glasses. The pots and pans also could use updating. The bathrooms were clean but missing hand soap. We would stay in this cabin again and I would recommend this cabin to our friends.

Royal Palm Beach, FL, United StatesExterior house not maintained . Web-page kids gameroom misleadin
Left on 09/02/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Patio Deck was very dirty with spiders webs all over. Whole deck area needs refinishing. Web-page was misleading: it did not clarify that the only way to get into kids game room (pool table etc.) was to get outside of the house to the basement to get into
game-room. Though basement was airconditioned is was highly infested by mildew. The mildew odor was very strong and is an unhealthy situation requiring immediate attention. The Living room furniture looks heavily used. Despite all, the house was clean with
brand new major appliances. -

The property is located close enough to the beach to walk with kids - took us 5 minutes of a casual walk. Overall layout and interior was ok. The only 'but' we had is the fact that there was no toilet paper almost at all. There were very few tea/coffee
cups and NO glasses (wine, juice, tequila shots). There were few plastic cups but not very pleasant to drink from. Overall experience - very pleasant. Will probably stay again and bring our toilet paper and shots )) -

Overall, I am very happy with our stay and since I know the house very well I made sure we had everything we needed with us. We have been renting this house for many years and I do think that it needs a bit updating/fixing. Also more chairs, garbage containers and pillows need to be provided as a minimum. Comporters are very old and need to replaced and washed regularly.

Hayward, Ca, United StatesOur Stay
Left on 08/25/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The place was kept up well except for a few minor issues. The handle fell of the shower door which was easily fixed by maintenance. For the length of stay there should have been more toilet paper. We could not switch the TV to use the DVD player. It appeared the INPUT function was not working on the control. The kitchen could have at least one more decent frying pan. The Air conditioning work very well which was a huge plus. The room with the ping pong table was musty and needed to be aired out.

Fremont, CA, United StatesGreat location, needs better amenities, maintenance.
Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We had an overall enjoyable stay.
First the pros -
1. Nice property at a great location. So peaceful and nice deck outside each room. Woods in the rear. Main deck is a nice place to watch deer and birds.
2. Responsive property management. Carol was very helpful. We made a late reservation and she was available for calls late night and got the property ready in time.
3. Rooms and bathrooms were clean.
4. Very short walk to the lake.
Cons-
1. Kitchen amenities could be better. No flat pans, dulled knives, no basic spices, drawers not cleaned. Found only a used utensil scrub and only 1 trash bag.
Found bags of old food in the closets and refridgerator, but the house-keeper removed it when we pointed out.
2. Comforters, especially in the kids rooms were not satisfactorily clean. We called property management, but they didn't have replacement. We started the vacation by washing the comforters. Btw, the laundry detergent was just sufficient to wash the comforters. Would appreciate a washed comforter for future stays.
3. Guest bathroom shower was not working, but we were too busy and managed with one shower. Informed management and hopefully its fixed.
4. No trash bins in the master bath. Shortage of toilet paper rolls. Had to go buy some.
5. Deck outside the kids room was not cleaned. Old earbuds lying around.
(Sad, since there was a beautiful view from the kids room).
6. Area rugs were grimy and table cloth looked like a cheap plastic one. Dining chairs and upholstery could do with a professinal cleaning. -

The home is situated in a very nice location in Pine Mountain. VERY quiet area. The home could use a little more manintenance and a good cleaning. The deck and patio area had many spider webs and pine needles. The kitchen supplies are very limited be so be sure to bring your own. Overall a great expereience!

Left on 08/02/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We are renting this property for three years and we love it. However, I would like to suggest to replace a tea pot,buy glasses, replace a tv in the living room and the down stairs and replace the outdoor furniture. And I also would like to mention that when we arrived to this house it was so dirty and we found a bunch of clothes from the previous gusts. We started our vacation with the cleaning a house. But overall we love this property and will rent it again next year.

We loved the property after staying there for 3 nights with our family. It's very secluded and has a hiking trail right next to it. Very close walking distance to a family-friendly lake beach. The property is in a very nice condition and has a great deck for relaxing.

Comfortable and generally clean. Outside deck could use some attention as far as maintenance and cleaning. The "out of sight" places, such as kitchen drawers, could use some cleaning as well. Better attention couldbe given to ensure that items such as toilet paper and hand soap are fully stocked.
Short walk to the swimming area was convenient. We were entertaining friends from Denmark and they were generally pleased. We appreciated a place to crash after a long day at Yosemite. -
