Casa Maddalena is a lovely old stone farmhouse, sensitively restored. The house is located in a small, quiet hamlet near Gualdo, a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away. With beautiful views of the Sibillini mountains and surrounding hilltop villages and countryside, the house has 3 bedrooms (comfortably sleeping 5), large living room, kitchen/diner, 'snug', 2 bathrooms and utility room. There is a large garden, terrace (with pergola for shade), and patio for al fresco dining next to the restored bread oven. A small spa pool is available during the summer months.

Located in a hamlet 2km from Gualdo, a pretty hilltop village surrounded by beautiful scenery. The village has a baker, grocer, mini-supermarkets, 2 bars, church, medical centre, bank, pharmacy, etc. There is a tennis court and small park in the village, and a weekly market on Tuesdays. The house is 80 minutes from Ancona airport, 40 minutes from the Adriatic coast; the vast Sibillini National Park is only 30 minutes away, with the beautiful Lake Fiastra offering fishing, canoeing and swimming - and, of course, hiking. There are other delightful villages within 15 minutes of Gualdo by car. Parking for two cars on the drive.

We stayed in this renovated farmhouse last summer. The weather was beautiful. It is delightful and well furnished. There is a large sitting room and pretty bedrooms. The well fitted kitchen and dining area open onto a terrace for outside eating under a vine covered pergola. The large, pleasant garden has panoramic views. There is a small plunge pool. We particularly enjoyed watching the fireflies during the late evenings. The house is within walking distance of a village. A car is essential, as there are many interesting places to visit in the area.

We stayed over Easter time; the days were warm and sunny and the views from the garden were of snowed capped hills. Days were spent relaxing in the garden and exploring hilltop villages in the area. A good choice of restaurants are within driving distance for the evenings though if you feel like home cooking then it is well equipped and cosy enough for evenings at home. Lovely comfy beds !

We had a lovely few days at Casa Maddalena. The house is tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable and the facilities are excellent. The countryside around is beautiful but you need a car in order to enjoy the area and visit restaurants.
Highly recommended. -

We arrived to find everything ready for us and first impressions were very favourable. The farmhouse is in a quiet area set back off the road with a spacious garden. It is very tastefully decorated and furnished and the beds were particularly comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of crockery and utensils. The garden is tranquil and well laid out and the views are spectacular. It's about an hour and a half from the nearest airport and there is a pretty little village (Gualdo) with shops and amenities a short distance away. We were near some beautiful lakes and farmland and had some lovely walks in wildflower meadows. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but you do need a car to get to them. We didn't visit the beach but there are several near ancona. It ticked all the boxes for us and we hope to return soon.
