This vacation was excellent and the staff was definitely the rea

I cannot say enough positive things about this vacation! There were 5 of us sisters visiting Costa Rica for the first time and everything was wonderful! Olman, Viennay and Freddie took excellent care of us. We didn't find one restaurant that was as good as the food that Viennay and Freddy cooked for us at the villa. If anyone stays in this villa, You want Olman, Viennay and Freddy taking care of you! Olman was always there whenever we needed him and he even took us out salsa dancing one evening.

Leslie was the best too! He took care of us on all of our trips to the hot mud baths, and rafting. He took photos as we went down the river rafting trip and really looked out for us everywhere we went. We knew that we were in good hands with him! We knew we liked him when he picked us up at the airport when we arrived. He was so helpful that we knew he was the one we wanted for our excursions for the resst of our vacation. We could not ask for a better tour guide!

If we had to rate them all on a scale of 1-10, they all get a definite 10! Our vacation would not have been a great as it was without all of them. We miss them already. :)

Why I love Costa Rica and Sleepy Cove in Coco.

Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We flew from Chicago to Liberia with great expectations. Last year we flew into San Jose and hated the rat race at that airport. Liberia was a great relief with its relaxed atmosphere and small airport appeal. Well worth the extra money for the plane ticket. We were met by our taxi that Olman had arranged for us and whisked off to Sleepy Cove, a short 25 minutes ride away.

Freddy, Vienne and Olman met us at the driveway and helped carry our bags down to our separate villas. The view of the Coco Bay below us was stunning and as advertised. The pool was beautiful as well. Olman did a good job showing us around the villa and showing us all the amenities that come with the villa. Olman speaks great english and was always available if we needed anything. Freddy and Vienne were the best. We were greeted with some guaccamole and chips that Freddy made. It was delicious as was all the food that was provided for the 9 days we were there. I can not say enough about Freddy and Vienne, They make Sleepy Cove a great place to be. Next year we will return and I will be able to speak a bit more Spanish.'

Coco is a good town, expensive for tourist but the people were all very helpful and very friendly.

Perfect base for a perfect Guanacaste vacation

Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012

I couldn't belive my luck when we stepped into Sleepy Cove which was a kind of last minute reservation. This place is even better in person than it looks in pictures. Sitting by the pool in the morning, watching the boats in the cove and listening to the sound of the birds was an experience that I may not forget for a very long time. We ended up changing our whole itinerary so we could stay at Sleepy Cove a few more days. The pool, the suites, the living and dining area, the garden, the views, the hosts, everything about this place was perfect. We are a small family but this place's unique design makes it an ideal home for an extended family gathering or close friends traveling together. Olman, the property manager and the live in hosts Vianney and Freddy were most wonderful. We enjoyed Freddy's coffee and Vianney's cooking every morning and most nights. My daughter's Spanish classes came in very handy when communicating with them. Jim had introduced us to Francisco, a local tour guide before we had even arrived. I ended up dropping car rental idea completely and engaged Francisco for 6 of the seven days we were in Costa Rica. We did our own customized tours instead of common combos. He also took us to arenal for an overnight stay. Very nice guy with good knowledge of the area and fluent English. I had never such a luxorious vacation rental experience before with no worries about either driving or cooking. Thank you Jim for making this happen. You are one of the most gracious vacation rental owner I have come across.
