Sun and water lovers have it all in the palm of your hand when you stay at "Villa Bonita". We're located at the end of route 325 in Ensenada at one of Puerto Rico's favorite beaches "Playa Santa".

The "Captains' Quarters" Villa is a second floor unit with partial sun and shaded terrace furnished with outdoor dining and lounge chairs, with large fans to move the breeze for total relaxation. This unit has kitchen(dishes,pots & pans,coffee maker, microwawave,stove) dining, private bathrooms with bed,bath and beach linens provided. We are located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by lots of water and great beaches.

Playa Sant...a features a great sandy bottom, roped swimming area, snorkel opportunities, shaded trees and palms, 2 beach bars for food, drink and playing some pool. Playa Santa is also home to: Pino's Boat & Water FUN where you can catch a banana boat ride, rent a jet ski take a jet ski or boat tours.

You'll find a local small Marina with fresh fish and lobster for sale, boat launch and more great shore diving.

Island Scuba's dive boat leaves from this Marina and Island Scuba Dive Shop is located within steps of our front door. Island Scuba Dive Boat is the dive boat closest to "THE WALL" dive plus so many more documented dive sights. Puerto Rico is spectacular for divers and snorkelers and this location is where you want to be.

We have a "little beach" just to the front of Villa Bonita perfect for a morning swim, afternoon snorkeling, and beautiful evening sunset.

We do not get much rain in our little corner of the Island so we always have great sun!

Cool down and get wet at the "Little Mangroves" or the "Manglillos" with a raft and float around the trees and watch the Pelligans dive for fish. Tie and anchor to a raft(we have them for our guests use at the Villa Bonita) and float around in 1 foot of caribbean water for the best sun tan you'll ever get. Use sun screen of coarse! The mangroves have showers, pit grills, and picnic area, lots of shade trees and beach area. The Mangroves area also offer awesome snorkeling and shore diving.

Our villa is a great place to relax . . . read a good book on one of our lounge chairs or throw some fish or steak on the outdoor B-B-Q grill ! There is an outside shower to get rid of sand from beach items and your bodies. Wheeled coolers for shopping and the beach. Our hostess, Barbara, will provide you with information of all that Puerto Rico has to offer.

We are with in 10 minutes by car to Guanica Dry Forest for hiking/bird watching and Gilligan's Island where you can catch a ferry ride out to a protected park for swimming, snorkeling and a family picnic!!

When you're out of things to do right in our back yard you may want to travel about 20 minutes west to La Parguera( Biobay and charter fishing) and Cabo Rojo(Cabo Rojo light house) or east to Ponce where you'll find a multitude of great restaurants, casinos, golf courses, shopping, and road side eateries. There are so many beautiful sights in Puerto Rico and we'll show you some of our favorites but you are sure to find treasures of your own.

  Villa Bonita is located in a wonderful area of Guanica a short walk to the beach. The accomodations were great clean and comfortable. Barbara met our every need playing most tour director in answering our many questions reagarding where to do and what to see. We spent time in a neighboring town Parguera. Where we took a bio-luminesent bay tour. We went to a wonderful Rum Bar! Ask Barb she can tell you how to get there it was amazing. The boys fished and had a huge catch of Dorado.

  The best guest house on Puerto Rico

  We spend two days in Ensenada (next time will be more) to go dive with Island Scuba. Barbara was really friendly, the room is large and well furnitured. Great view on the see.
  There is no problem to wash up wetsuits and all the diving equipment.
  For divers definitely the best choice to stay in villa Bonita and go dive on the Wall dive with Island Scuba.

  My husband and I stayed in the larger area of this house with 4 other friends. We had a great time. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. She knew everything about the area and gave us many great suggestions of where to eat and what to see. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

  We loved Playa Bonita!

  We were a group of 3 couples traveling together. Playa Bonita was the perfect place for us to stay. It is a tri-level. The bottom level is where Barbara, the manager lives, the top level has a small studio. We stayed on the second level. It had a full kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a very large outside deck. The bedrooms each had an airconditioner.
  
  Guanica is very small and not a big tourist spot. We loved it because we are divers and there is a great dive company 1 block from the house. There are lots of great places to explore in this area as well. The beach is 1 block away. There is hiking in the dry forest a few miles away, snorkling, kyaking, historic towns to explore, a cute little winery, and beautiful seanic drives.
  
  Barbara was so friendly and helpful. She shared ideas of places to eat, shop, beach spots. She had an ice chest that we could borrow for excurtions, BBQ if we wanted to cook.
  
  The house is not fancy but was clean, comfortable and in a great area if you are not looking for city life and crowds. The property is gated and had plenty of parking area. We wish we had stayed longer and will return here again!

  Absolutely tremendous!!. One block from three of several tremendous beaches, one block from the fish market, beautiful area for a local neighborhood walk. This area is not your typical all inclusive resort atmosphere, this is pure Puerto Rico including friendly islanders and local cafes/bars. We loved it! Barbara was extremely attentive and guided us impeccably through our every need or request. We explored the Guanica and surrounding region every day and Barbara always directed us to a wonderful new destination. We went fishing with the locals and I have posted a few pictures, there are dozens of scenic pictures I wish I could include. Barbara's Parrot angel is a lovely, entertaining "watchdog" and we thoroughly enjoyed her. Barbara made sure that we had anything and everything that might make our trip more enjoyable. This rental facility is wonderful. If not for the fact that my wife, Kathy and I & Steve and MareMare want to always see new places, Villa Bonita would be our vacation destination over and over again. It could not have been better!   Excellent place for serious scuba divers

  My wife and I stayed at Villa Bonita for a week to dive with Island scuba. I highly recommend both Villa Bonita and Island scuba.
  We were offered a package deal as scuba divers that made a full week in Guanica affordable. The family who owns Villa Bonita, Barbara, Bonita and Jeff, made us feel very much at home during our stay. They were very accommodating whenever we needed anything (including cheese!) and their check in and check out times are flexible for scuba divers in case you need to squeeze in one last dive before you leave. Villa Bonita is less than a block from the ocean, dive shop and fish market so we enjoyed cooking as much of the fresh and local seafood on the BBQ as possible.
  This is a great place to stay if you are interested in scuba diving a wall that compares to Belize or Grand Cayman, in my personal experience, and you would like a nice place to stay. This is not a good place to stay if you are looking for fine dining or nightlife that includes more than the one local bar.
  Island scuba is run by Pedro Padilla and his wife, Nayda. They have a fantastic dive shop, they offer good quality rental gear and they will bring out the dive boat in the middle week with only a few divers. If you get the chance, go out on an odd day to try and catch a boat with only 2 or 3 other people. Pedro is also a great photographer and his work is all over the internet. Just type "Pedro Padilla Island scuba" into Google images and see what comes up.
  Other than diving, Gillian's Island makes a great day trip and many other cool cities like Playa Joyuda, Cabo Rojo and La Parguera are a short dive away.

  The owner’s Bonita & Barbara are warm and welcoming. The ground floor 1 bedroom studio was perfect for the solo traveler or may accommodate a couple with 2 children. The studio was outfitted with all the amenities from microwave to cable TV and WiFi. The villa is within walking distance to a beautiful crescent sandy beach and island style bar-restaurants. I’ll definitely be planning a return visit!!

  Villa Bonita is truely a slice of heaven! The Stoudt family made our stay absolutely perfect. This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed and it gives you a true taste of Puerto Rico. You can do it all here or just relax and do nothing at all. Perfect for families with relaxing beaches and snorkeling just minutes from your doorstep. We have already begun to plan our next trip!!   This was my very first time to Puerto Rico and it was amazing all thanks to the Stoudt family. Everything was all included. The beach was just a couple steps away from the house. The house was very neat and tidy. The shore diving was the best and it was right outside the house. The scuba shop to get our gear was only a couple steps away from the house also. The Stoudt family took very good care of me during my stay in this fabulous rental place and Puerto Rico. My next vacation i will be back.
