Stayed at this house three years in a row. We keep coming back because we love it!
Favorite things about this house:
- Fantastic deck. You want to sit out here all day.
- Open main floor - perfect for gathering.
- Main bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Shower to die for!
- Walking distance to private River access.
- 2 downstairs bedrooms. Quiet retreat from the group upstairs.
A few things to note:
- Quite a few stairs to get into home - place not suitable for anyone with disabilities
- Grill can be a bit spotty - burners don't always fire correctly.
- Bring some citronella candles for the deck
- Kitchen cabinets are a bit funky - open into each other
- Not a huge amount of counter space
- We bring our own wine glasses when we go
- We bring a radio to play music from our iPhones - the radio there not so great
- Deck could use a bigger table (seat 6) and could use lounge chairs
We love the modern, open feel of this place! Tucked away, not in a frequented area of RR. Quiet neighbors. No River view but great view of vineyards.

The owner's of this home pay attention to detail! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to put on a Thanksgiving meal. The home was spotless and tastefully decorated. We loved this place and the special touches the owner's have added throughout.

Everything worked out well. Rental company very easy to work with. Coming from the east coast, this was huge. Deposit returned asap. Nice bottle of wine upon arrival. Relaxing views. We were there in early March so I'm sure they are even better in summer. Huge deck. Amazing double shower in master. Other bedrooms are downstairs so understand that you will hear someone walking above. Great fireplace, really draws well. Quality appliances. Only possible negative is that there were no games. Just make sure and bring your own if you want that.

The house was gorgeous with nice decor and comfortable beds and couches. The free bottle of wine was nice and welcoming as well. Beautiful kitchen with plenty of cookware and dishware. Patio was nice and relaxing as well.

We loved this home! The kitchen and bathrooms are all remodeled and we loved making dinner at the home. We enjoyed our breakfasts out on the deck before a limo picked us up for wine tasting. A nice beach is located a few blocks from the home. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Russian River.

Redwood Lane Retreat served as our home based during the Vineman 70.3 weekend. It was comfortable, spacious and had great views. If my friends and family are crazy enough to participate again in Vineman 70.3, this would be my destination of choice. Even spent some time at the beach - about a five minute walk from the house.

My family and I rented Redwood Lane Retreat over Thanksgiving and had a great time. It is well appointed, clean, and well-decorated. The view off the back deck is beautiful and relaxing. When we got there to we were pleasantly surprised that the house was already all decorated for Christmas. Very cool! My only complaint is that for a house that sleeps 6 comfortably, there is not quite enough seating in the living room. I would suggest they have 2 couches to accommodate the whole party. That's it though! Everything else was great :)

We were more than thrilled with our accommodations! This place is gorgeous. Its immaculately clean - to even the fact that the smell is just pure heaven. We will hopefully be back soon. I can't say enough good things about this house. I wish I could live there all year around. It was very close to town and very close to tons of vineyards... Do yourself a favor and stay here. Talking about it makes me want to go back, pronto!

My family loved the Redwood Lane Retreat. The property is beautiful, down to every finish and decoration. The location was excellent for spending time in the Russian River Valley or a day Sonoma.

This house had everything we wished for and more! If there were one thing I'd like to add it would be a hot tub. The views were awesome, it was extremely clean and very cozy! we loved grilling out and enjoying the wine from the vineyard we visited! This house is a definite must stay at place!

Certainly off the beaten path, nice views from deck. Very functional kitchen with nice appliances, large dining room and great room with large fireplace. Master bedroom with special shower in bathroom on main floor. Separate bedrooms (2) downstairs with a full bath at that level. Overall, nice experience. Not a place for anyone with problems with stairs as getting into front door requires traversing 2 small flights (no handicap accessibility here!) Lighting (or lack thereof) in great room needs to be addressed but is easily remedied with a few more lamps.

We used the Redwood Lane Retreat as the venue for a weekend reunion with two of our grown children. The home was exquisitely appointed and warmly decorated for the holidays -- it was truly home away from home -- and we made good use of the large wine cooler in the kitchen, starting with the bottle of wine that greeted us. The home's central location in the Russian River Wine Country was a real plus and the outstanding service in making all the arrangements made our experience one of the best we've had at home rentals.

In search of a place to bring together our family from all over the US, we
picked Sonoma and took a chance on the Redwood Lane Retreat in
Guerneville. The service we received in the booking process was excellent but
were still anxious to get to the place and see if it felt right. Well, we loved it
from the moment we walked in. The location is ideal, we were able to be on
the coast in no time, drive up Westside Road within minutes, drive to
Alexander Valley even within 45 mins. The home itself was perfect for us as
we like to cook and the great room, kitchen combination was ideal for cooking
and being together. The rooms and bathrooms we big and modern. The deck
and the view was a nice bonus as we did not expect that. Our only complaints
were that the downstairs bedrooms were both full size beds when queens
would easily fit and the kitchen utensils were very limited (bring your own!).
