Great house in a great location. Very peaceful backyard with a hammock and nice hot tub. The kitchen was very nice, with a professional stove top and ovens. The bedrooms were also nice. Six of us stayed here and we all felt like we had plenty of space.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the grill was broken--and we had brought alot of very good steak to cook on the grill.

Thanks for the review! Villa Tranquila is a great house - I'm sorry to hear about the BBQ... It was working before your stay (just one burner was not 100%) but we're always happy to get someone out to fix something if you call during your stay too. We even have a loaner BBQ at the office just in case!

I celebrated my 50th birthday with my husband and 5 other friends in this house, which is where we were married in 2008.
The setting is incredible(being almost right in the Redwood forests of Northern California), the house is charming, great amenities, and so close to the wineries and ocean.
We used the spa, which was very nice, and the firepit.
Also, having bedrooms somewhat separated (2 down and 3 up) was really nice.
Guerneville is a little out of the way for those wanting more "action" like in Napa, Sonoma, or say Healdsburg, but it's perfect for what we wanted.
The only negative,if there was one, we had to obtain firewood and the local Safeway was out, so we had to make do the first night and wait to get some the next day.

Happy Birthday! How great that you got to celebrate this milestone at such a beautiful home! I love that Villa Tranquila has a fire-pit, and thank you for including a photo of it in action. I'm surprised that Safeway was out of firewood, however the temperature does have a tendency to dip rather unexpectedly this time of year, causing a run on supplies. There are other places to get firewood here in town - the hardware store on River Rd and a ranch off of Hwy 116. - and you can also frequently find some at the little markets and convenience stores nearby. Next time, just give us a call and we can direct you to the nearest source!

We were here with a group of friends for a weekend of R&R.; I agree with all the reviews mentioned before. This house is perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, easy access to Guernville. We had a great time.

We had 10 people attending the Russian River Jazz/Blues Festival and needed a comfortable house to accommodate everyone for 4 days. The house was perfect and had enough room for everyone. The backyard was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this house and we will be booking again.

Villa Tranquila was a great place to stay and I would recommend this house to friends and families. Spacious layout and an amazing back yard. Perfect for multiple couples or a big family. Looking forward to renting it again. Ps, The next door neighbors dog likes to bark in the early morning hours..Not sure if this happens all the time?

Great place to come with a medium size group. Large public spaces both indoor and out, with room to spread out. We came up with several families with kids, and had a great time. Weather was perfect an spent the evenings outside watching sun go down through the redwoods, and then beverages under the stars.
Small hike to get to town/beach but not far, and also makes the house a little more isolated/private.
Great kitchen indoor and out to cook for large groups.

The Villa Tranquila was a perfect way for a group of girlfriends to get out of the city and enjoy all that the Russian River Valley has to offer. The home is spacious and inviting; only a quick drive to some of our favorite vineyards. The large kitchen and outdoor grill are ideal for making a memorable home-cooked meal, and the hot tub was a nice treat in the morning and evening.

I stayed here for a weekend with 10 friends for my 30th birthday. The service was great leading up to the stay (and during) and we loved the place. It is pushed back from the street so feels very private. The place is really solid and decently luxurious while still being homey and comfy. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked which we really appreciated. The jacuzzi is great as are the bedrooms. Loved that the music is set to play all over the house (and outside), though the fact that we weren't supposed to have music outside at night made it difficult as we couldn't find a way to turn off only those speakers.

We were looking for a well-located area where group of close friends could enjoy some R&R.; This place fit the bill amazingly! The house is absolutely gorgous, in a super central location for visiting wineries, forest, river, etc. Large kitchen for making great meals and a jucuzzi hottub for soaking in the evening. I can't rave enough about our stay here...highly recommend.

This place was a great location for a recent group weekend in Russian River. The only thing it's missing is a pool. The kitchen is gorgeous, the house spacious, well set up with everything needed, etc. Highly recommended, and we will likely be back!

We were a very large group of friends with toddler and preschool children who gathered for a little reunion for a long weekend. The Villa was a great choice. It is large, spacious and well equipped. We especially enjoyed the lovely yard where the kids played and laughed. The outdoor dining table was wonderful for al fresco meals. And the beds were comfortable. With the exception of not being able to find a strainer for pasta in the kitchen we had no complaints. The location is great, just a short walk down the hill. The climb back up could be challenging to those out of shape so plan accordingly! Overall, I'd highly recommend this rental!

The house is beautiful! Nice surroundings, equiped with anything a homeowner would need to stay for all our family! We were there for our oldest son's marriage at a winery nearby. Even the little grandchildren loved the house and playing out in the backyard. My only regret was that we should have stayed longer!

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was a family gathering for my family, sisters, parents. We came from all over and really enjoyed the home and stay together! Loved the backyard! Felt that the kitchen could have been stocked more with utensils, everyday stuff, but was fine. We would come back here again! It was our first time to Russian River, and loved it! Thanks for making it memorable!

Our group of 12 were all first-timers to this property and we all hope to stay here again. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are inviting and well-maintained and the location can't be beat. Each bedroom was extremely comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for accommodating a large group. The house has a lovely villa feel with lots of light and warmth and was well-stocked with everything we needed. We cannot wait to book another trip to Villa Tranquila.

We shared the villa with some friends, and it was a blast. The interior details are amazing. The master bedroom's bathroom is a peaceful getaway. The villa is large enough for a big group or a family getaway. We'll be back.

A group of friends from around the us met for a wonderful stay at Villa Tranquilla. The house, chef style kitchen and outdoor areas formed a perfect arena for long dinners in the dining room, wine on the patio and in the spa, and trips to explore the wonderful wineries in the Russian River and surrounding areas. The group will return again before too long to repeat this fantastic week.
