My boyfriend and I hosted a weekend vacation with our close friends, and everyone in our party really enjoyed the home. It is very comfortable, nicely appointed and gave us the feeling of a real relaxing vacation. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the house had all of the amenities we value such as wifi, cable and many more. The location is also excellent and really beautiful views of the river. The staff is also very accommodating. We are planning to come back next year!

Beautiful remodeled home on the river. canoe, kayak, pier, close to town, quiet - very functional kitchen - hot tub on the deck. We felt pampered.

I have to say that overall our stay was fantastic. This was for a work retreat. We rented this location and River Dream. Both were what we needed. The staff was extremely helpful at check in and check out and the entire process really. Everyone had a wonderful time and I am sure we will be back.

While the furnishings were adequate, we felt there was a lack of modern amenities. For example, the kitchen was fairly well equipped but there was a variance in quality of the equipment - All-Clad pots aside cheap thrift store pots, coffee maker didn't work, rusty blunt potato peeler, 30 year old electic stove and oven etc. It resembled the kitchen of a shared student house.
The 25 year old "stereo" was basically un-useable in this day and age - where was the iPod sync or docking station that so many properties offer these days - and we couldn't find the barbeque utensils.
All-in-all a comfortable stay but lacking the basic amenities we're used to and expect from a quality vacation rental.Response from Russian River Vacation Homes - 10/03/2011

Thank you for sharing your experience with us... I wish you'd let us know during your stay that the coffee maker wasn't working - we have a loaner in the office and could have gotten it out to you! We try to keep kitchen items up to date in all our homes, but it helps when folks let us know about specific items that are out-of-sorts. We can ask the cleaner to address those items specifically and the owner about replacement possibilities too.
We do list all the electronics and specific features in the amenities for each house so folks can look ahead (or call and ask) if there are items they want in a house. Bella Ursula is a fantastic home in that it is laid back and relaxed. We love it for the rustic feeling and simple, not-too-fancy or hard-to-figure-out furnishings and amenities. The stereo is visible in the photos online and is a CD player too and works just fine! I've even turned it on and used it...

We had a lovely time at Bella Ursula. The house was comfortable and the deck was great for enjoying the fall air. There was enough room for everyone to eat, sleep, and be merry!

Getting to the boat was a little tricky. The end of the path was steep and slippery with the step very high. You did not need keys to the boats only the combination.
The house is very beautiful and clean.
