This modern home is exceptionally comfortable and offers excellent views of the redwood-covered mountains. The open, fully equipped kitchen features tile floors, countertops and breakfast bar. The open dining room area features French doors leading to a large sunny deck with mountain views, outdoor dining, and a gas barbecue. We really enjoyed staying on the Mountain View. We were able to walk into town to attend the Blues/Jazz Festival. The home had obviously been updated, and was in great condition.

This is a beautiful home, location convenient to town and River Road to get you to other points of interest. The negative was the terrible mattresses in both bedrooms, they really need to replace them. Neither of us were able to get a good nights sleep the four nights we stayed.
I was also a little disappointed there wasn't a little more of a back yard to enjoy. It does have a lot of deck space in front and on the side of the house and we enjoyed that.
The kitchen is well equipped and having the washer and dryer was wonderful.

The most of the yard and deck space is in front of the house at Mountain View and the owners have done a great job keeping the decks fresh and the yard lovely with regular service and plantings. For privacy's sake, the hot tub is the back yard which is also a bit more shady. The front of the house gets the most sun!
I'm more than happy to pass on your notes about the mattresses - I know we all have our own preferences when it comes to hard/soft and such... We always appreciate feedback via these reviews or you can call or email us anytime!

The home is located a mere few hudred yards from downtown up a short steep hill. The home has a large balcony with above average views of the trees. we kept the large french doors open most of the time for a perfect inside out feeling. the home was furnished simply but comfortably and the home was clean. all of my interaction with rental staff was positive. i would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My husband, child and I really enjoyed our stay at the Mountain view home. Not only was the house well appointed but the location was both convenient to town and tranquil at the same time. The deck had a BBQ and dining table which was so nice for eating outside. I would definitely stay there again if we return.

We loved the house. When it's sunny and warm, the deck is wonderful. The kitchen is very easy for more than one person to work in. Didn't use the hot tub, either time we stayed. It's an easy walk to town and to Coffee Bazaar for morning coffee. Close enough to walk to some good restaurants in Guerneville.

I have always found this home comfortable and easy to enjoy, one of our understated gems. It is a home we often rent for ourselves when family is coming from out of town to visit.
